Today
So Financial Aid says they won't be able to disperse my money till next week. My new working theory is that financial aid wants me to fail my classes (no money = no books) so that they don't have to give me money in the future. Makes their job easier. -_-
I went to the local Go club tonight in downtown Honolulu. AND I'M ALIVE. Why is this suprising, you ask? Becuase today is only the 2nd time in my life I've been on public mass transit by myself (I've used the bus before, but always with friends except that 1 time in Vegas).
Unfortunatly I lost, but I was playing an individual who has been playing since 1975 (not often, but still a long time). He won by 1pt, plus the extra pts that White gets. So a moral victor for me; I was only down by 7 1/2 points. Pretty good for my first time with new people. Also I haven't been able to play for a long time. (I think in November my little bro played 2 games with me).
So yeah, a pretty cool day. OH, and I learned the rules to the dice game that they play in Pirates of the Caribean (with Davey Jones?). It has real rules! AND they make sense. (Wierd, right?) Met a couple more Washingtonians, hung out with the girls I knew previously, and Colorado girl, for a bit.
