TV Show: The 100
Channel: The CW
Currently at Season 2

Premise (according to Wikipedia)
The series is set 97 years after a devastating nuclear war wiped out almost all life on Earth. The only known survivors are the residents of twelve space stations in Earth's orbit prior to the war. The space stations banded together to form a single massive station named "The Ark", where about 2,400 people live under the leadership of Chancellor Jaha. Resources are scarce and all crimes, no matter their nature or severity, are punishable by ejection into space ("floating") unless the perpetrator is under 18 years of age.

After the Ark's life-support systems are found to be critically failing, 100 juvenile prisoners are declared "expendable" and sent to the surface-nearby former Washington, D.C.-in a last ditch attempt to determine if Earth is habitable again in a program called "The 100", for which the show is named. The teens arrive on a seemingly pristine planet they have only seen from space. They are meant to find refuge and supplies at the old military installation in Mount Weather. However, they have landed a fair distance from it and soon face other problems. Confronting both the wonders and the dangers of this rugged new world, they struggle to form a tentative community. However, they discover not all humanity was wiped out; some people on Earth, called Grounders, survived the war, and there are even more dangers lurking - Reapers (Grounders who have become cannibals) and Mountain Men (who live in Mount Weather, the original destination of the 100).

Brief Review/Thoughts
The 100 is one of the TV shows that has surprised me the most. I rarely if ever watch a TV show through the CW. I feel it is bloated with teenage angst and drama. And, it has a host of Twilight-like tv shows (eye rolls), however, I learned about this show through Netflix (when S2 was just starting to air). The first few episodes I felt that I was watching a stupid/boring/filled teenager angs/eye rolling tv show. I was not quite patient, I nearly gave up on watching it, but due to the Netflix reviews, and others... I kept watching. I'm so glad.

The characters have evolved/developed really well. What the first few episodes was full of teenagers making out, now, they are quite well developed/growing characters. Survivors in a new world. They are definitely not 1D anymore. There is still some teenagery-angst/drama going on, but eh, teenagers are the CW's audience... it's tolerable.

If anything, one can read the summaries and reviews for S1, and then start truly watching S2.

The most surprising TV show. I truly underrated this show, but I'm glad that I kept watching.

Award for the most underrated tv show goes to The 100.
