Today we went to a whopping total of one yard sale.  We bought this neat stereo thing.  It has a record player (33 and 45 rpm only), two cassette player things, and radio.  It didn't come with speakers, though.
And you know what?  The one cassette player doesn't work.  The only one you can record on.
So I'm pissed.  We paid $20 for something that doesn't even work all the way.  Stupid rich people and their overpriced yard sales.  (Well, they probably weren't rich, more like, upper middle class or something.  But still.)  That was the only reason I wanted it.
We're going to try to sell it at our yard sale.  (Our yard sale will have reasonable prices.  But that's mostly because mom wants to make everything so goddamn cheap.  But hey, we don't need the stuff anyway.)  We're going to sell it for $10, and throw in my mom's entire casette collection (her idea, not mine. She doesn't have anything to play them on, and they're not anything good).  Because we're awesome like that.  I don't know if we'll give them speakers though.  I didn't ask her.  We have an extra set, but I don't know if she wants to part with them.
I'm kind of wishing I hadn't thrown away my 90's boombox just because it was gross and I didn't want to clean it.  Okay, I'm really wishing I hadn't thrown it away.  Oh well, what can you do?
In other news, I've donated money to the Salvation Army for the New Zealand earthquake relief thing.  I figured it'd cheer me up.  It didn't really, but hey, I'm helping people, right?
Aaaaand... I ordered some things from some record supply place, but they haven't charged my card for it.  Or if they did, I didn't see it.  I really should pay attention to my... whatever they're called.  You know, those things the bank sends you in the mail.  "Invoices" isn't the right word, but it's the only one that I can think of at the moment.  Well, anyway, I'm kind of worried that they haven't charged me (if they haven't, that is), because they shipped it already.  I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
I have a ton of emails to write (as in, three), and I'll try to get to that today.  Sorry, penpals.  I do love you, though, don't worry.

and all that cal, yard sales
