Well, I've decided now that I've been smoke free for over 6 months (actually just passed the 8 month mark) that it's time to start embarking on the next healthy change...losing some weight

I don't know how big a pop-fan you are these days, or what you're drinking, but given that this was what seems to be the KEY element in the weight I managed to lose, I shall offer you this much:
If you drink regular pop, switch to diet pop. I gave myself a challenge. Drink only diet pop for one week. If I could make it for that one week, only drinking diet pop, then I would treat myself to a regular one. I made the week. I treated myself to a regular bottle of soda syrup. I couldn't drink it. I CAN drink a regular nowadays, if it's what's available, but now diet tastes better to me than regular. I'm sure I'd do better to cut it out entirely, but me ♥ the caffeine.
Still, regular pop to diet pop, and since then I dropped eighty pounds. I still could use work, but I feel 100x better about myself than I did a couple years ago, when I see myself.
Disregard if this is irrelevant, but if regular pop is something you do regularly, I highly recommend trying the diet pop route, simply because of the difference that made for me. Gross as I thought it was, it's been very much worthwhile. :)
Ya know the sad/horrible thing is after I wrote this work bullshit happened and I've been WORSE about my diet. I sucks. I actually don't drink pop at all already. I am purely coffee/iced tea (no sugar)/crystal light/water...and that seems to do well with maintaining my weight but I am definitely not losing lol
It's a good thought darlin and I totally appreciate the share.
My biggest issue is the weight I put back after I quit smoking. I lost that by that medication/B12 shot diet program I was doing via my doctor. With no insurance to get the pills/shot every week that went bye bye but it was working. I was shedding about 2 lbs a week.
le sigh. I need to just buckle down and do it the old fashioned way. Get off my Sim playing ass after work and go for a walk/use the Wii fit/do something.
Easier said/thought of than done after a day of soul sucking work. :)
Babble aside, I am prouds of you, you did very well and you look great. Healthy and happy.
