Year in Review 2008
As is customary for my journal since 2004 I give you
2008 - The Year in Review
1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
I was in a wedding (Cristie/Steve's)...that's about it. It was a busy year but I didn't really do anything "new".
2. Did you keep your New Years resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't make resolutions as policy.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My cousin Scott's wife, Dee just had their son a few weeks ago (Trevor Andrew Mears)
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Our family pets passed within a few months of each other. Schatzie our dog first, then Tobey my kittie.
5. What countries did you visit?
I didn't go anywhere but the US of A this year.
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
Finish one full to-do list...I have never been able to do that.
Be honest and upfront with everyone instead of being 'kind' then stewing on my true feelings.
7. What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
December - moving into Victoria Pointe with Aaron and Marty
August 8th - Day I quit smoking
September 22nd - Day I "officially" was switched to being an 'intern' instead of a 'student' (which doesn't change much but gives me more ability to become full time.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
According to my love I have to say "Quitting Smoking"
9. What was your biggest failure?
Finances...which apparently will never change cuz I say that every year...
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nope I think I had a couple colds and that was about it.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
The laptop I'm using right now. I sooo love this thing.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Everyone in my life is amazing and I love them for it.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Not any single person...society as a whole does that for me sometimes.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Bills, a couple fun purchases and moving...
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Moving into our new places, living with Marty again.
16. What song will always remind you of 2008?
Anything off Pink's Funhouse. Love Lockdown - specifically waking up to it from Marty's room.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

happier

Worked on my portfolio website

work!

went to gma's but had breakfast and gift opening with marty/brianna first

here at our place

more every day...which is stupid and lame and i know that so shut up
23. How many one-night stands?
none
24. What was your favorite TV program?
Sons of Anarchy...that was pretty much all I watched...I haven't even seen half this season of Grey's or anything else for that matter.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
When it really comes down to it I don't hate anyone...not for longer than maybe a month.
26. What was the best book you read?
Only non-school book I've read was the first book in the twilight series and I'm still not sure how I feel about them...
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
It's been a long long time since I've listened to anything that I haven't had for ages that wasn't just a new CD from someone I've liked for years.
28. What did you want and get?
Laptop/New Place/Mom's driving again!
29. What did you want and not get?
Full time job.
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Stardust...not new but new to me and I loves loves loves it!
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I don't remember what we did but I turned 26th.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Full time job/insurance/benefits/leave time
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
same as it ever was...
34. What kept you sane?
friends
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
always and forever my dear mr. depp
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
BARACK!!! So please with my country for once.
37. Who did you miss?
I miss Schmoo...and Katums...and Bob/Rach
38. Who was the best new person you met?
Not new in my life but now a roomie - Brianna!

Shut up, sit down, and relax sometimes.
