What if I would have listened to a crackhead?

As I was driving home from the Buck... something often done... I had a thought... hence the title of this blog.

When I was @ the 8th grade or so and I told my step uncle (who was an addict) what I wanted to be when I grew up (being a chiropractor)... He laughed at me and told me that if a big guy like him came into the office... I wouldn't be able to do a thing.

That idea discouraged me slightly, but like the typical Aries... even at 13... I was too stubborn to listen to him... and thank god I was!!!

I could not imagine my life without the gift & ability to help people heal themselves (physically, mentally, & chemically) and live the best life through chiropractic. I can and do adjust people of ALL shaped and sizes. And I do it well!!!

What? He didn't think that they would teach us how to modify to different body types in school... isn't that what school is? ... to learn?

What I say to my step uncle & anyone else out there that wants to try to discourage someones dream... "Just because you may have destroyed your own dreams or forgot what it was like to dream... doesn't mean that you have to destroy mine!" Actually... thanks for the challenge! I overcame : )

So... "What if I would have listened to a crackhead?"
