Brain-sucked Friday
I’ve been a very slack blogger this week and I apologise for that. I only just got around to reading most of this weeks entries and I haven't even thought about writing anything. I just haven’t had the time to sit and download the contents of my brain. And that is a bit rubbish really considering I said I'd do it every few days.
My excuse is that SL seems to have taken over completely this week. And that scares me a little. It’s good that the club is going well, and that I’m getting lots of bookings - I guess. But I can’t keep up with the pace! I’m going to have to put a limit on things and make sure I take some nights off. Otherwise I’m going to end up in a rubber room, chewing my fist and drooling like some lunatic.
Also, I think I’m coming down with some kind of illness. I’ve had a headache all week and I just feel so damn tired I could sleep for a week. My throat hurts, my glands are sore I generally feel like death warmed up. Yay. Just in time for the weekend. Just hope I’m ok for Monday… which is SPA Day… cos I’m going regardless. Short of the Black Death, NOTHING is going to stop me from climbing up on that table and letting Olga the Russian Shot-putter massage me into oblivion.
Anyway. I saw this on a few of my friend’s LJs this week. I didn't get tagged but I'm joining in anyway cos I'm a bit of a sheep and it's much easier to copy someone elses idea than to have to think up something myself! Anyway, here goes.

1. What are your reasons for having a LJ?
I've been told that I've always had a way with words. in the days before email and the interwibble I used to have old fashioned pen pals and I'd write huge, long letters to them. I enjoyed it. i liked making them laugh. I started a blog last year on google but soon realised that all the cool kids were playing on LJ so after a little prompting by
whitehousemom I joined up. It's fun. I like that total strangers can read it although God alone knows what think of it!
2. What do you do before bedtime?
Check my email just one last time..... poke people... play Scrabble/Word Twist/Scramble..... check LJ...... maybe read a chapter of something to detox by brain
3. What will your dream wedding be like?
Well, if money was no object, I would have LOVED to have a a proper medieval wedding in a Scottish castle somewhere. I love the idea of a winter wedding, with maybe an ivory and dark green Maid Marion dress, with ivy and wild flowers, lots of celtic influences and maybe a touch of a wiccan ceremony.
That's if money was no object. However, the wedding I DID have was perfect, if on a somewhat smaller scale. We just wanted to be married, without all the fuss, so decided just to take ourselves and two friends off and do it. We went to a beautiful olde worlde pub/hotel in the Yorkshire dales. I had my Maid Marion dress, and it was purple. Purple velvet! I had flowers in my hair. i had a black cloak with a hood. It was the best day ever. I would do it again in an instant :-)

4. What is the city of your dreams and why?
Umm the city of my dreams? Probably Hobbiton from LOTR. I just LOVE it!! I want to visit NZ one day just so I can walk up to Bilbo's front door.
5. Are you an introvert or extrovert?
An introverted extovert? I don't know really. You'd have to ask my friends.
6. Which is more blessed, loving someone or being loved by someone?
Having someone love for you unconditionally for who you are is the best feeling in the world.
7. Do you trust easily?
Yes I do, which is not always a good thing... I always think people are as honest/open/nice as me and have been disappointed regularly. However I'm learning to be more guarded and living with
lowbrid has made me cynical and suspicious as hell!
8. If the person you secretly like is already attached, what would you do?
Make them see the error of their ways........ I can be quite persuasive when i want to be!
9. Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days?
A bit grumpy and fed up? Sure, loads of things. Truly unhappy? Not really, which I am very thankful for.
10. What is your best quality?
I think I'm a nice person; I'm loyal and pretty easy going.
11. Is being tagged fun?
I wouldn't know *sigh*
12. How do you see yourself?
OOh tough one. Ok. Lets see. I think I'm open, honest, fun to be around (I hope so anyway!), sarcastic, maybe slightly obsessive, weird in an eccentric kind of way, quick to laughter, extremely impatient and one of life's born optimists.
13. Who are currently the most important people to you?
My beloved -
lowbrid - my family and my friends..... oh and my horrible cats although they aren't people.
14. If you could have one natural talent what would it be?
I would love, love, LOVE to be able to sing. I mean sing properly. You know, a show-tune quality voice. One that makes people stop and listen, and not because it's really bad! I have always admired anyone who can sing well because, frankly, I couldn't hold a tune in a bucket. I want to be one of those people who just opens their mouths and out comes something amazing. Oh and if I can't have that, can I please play the piano like Jerry Lee Lewis? Thankyouplease.
15. Would you rather be single and rich or married but poor?
Being single just means not married right? So I could have a live-in hottie AND be rich? Sounds good to me :)
16. How many children do you want to have, if any?
OMG NONE. Not ever. EVAAAAH. Did I mention that I don't do kids? UGH.
17. What's better, to give or to receive?
I like giving :-)
18. If you fall in love with two people simultaneously, who would you pick?
The one with the biggest................ bank balance. Hehehe not really. I would hope the answer would be obvious.
19. What would you do if you became pregnant unexpectedly?
Probably kill myself!
20. What were your parents going to name you if you'd been born the opposite sex?
I was going to be Paul if I was a boy. Not too bad. However, my poor sister was going to be ROY! I mean, Roy?? Come on! What were my parents thinking??!
