Here's the lowdown on my issue!

Well guys, I have come to realize that my stubborness, although it gets me what i want at the time, is really nothing more than a pain in the neck! (or back really)

I have for some time now (going on 12 years) been plagued with back problems. It has increased over the years and become more frequent. I finally broke down and went to the Dr. to have an MRI done to find out just why it has gotten so bad.
BOY did I open up a can of HOLY SHIT!!!!

The Dr. called me back last night to inform me that I have herneated another disc. So that would now be L3, L4, and L5 that are herneated. Not only that but I now have what is called Spinal Stenosis.
Want to know what that is?

Spinal stenosis refers to the condition of neurologic problems associated with narrowing of the spinal canal due to degenerative changes in the spine. Arthritis of the small joints in the spine (facets) as well as thickening of ligaments and formation of bony spurs can all lead to gradual squeezing and irritation of neurologic structures.
This process is usually gradual and can lead to symptoms such as pain with walking, a decreased endurance for physical activities, heaviness in the legs, tingling sensations, tightness and numbness in the legs with activity, and often associated low back pains

So, I get the tingling and numbness on a regular basis. So now here is the treatment.

Treatment for spinal stenosis ranges from physical therapy to epidural injections and finally surgery in certain cases.

When I spoke to the Dr. I was told surgery is my only option. Otherwise, I could be paralyzed.
Isn't that just freaking wonderful?!?!

So, I now have to take a short term disability leave from work to have this surgery. I hope it won't be long before I can go back to work. With Robert out of a job and then me.....ugh! So, Robert is going to move our furniture downstairs into the room my brother is in. (he has to move out) because I am not suppose to walk up and down the stairs.
Yay me!!

So, who wants to keep me company for the 12 weeks I'm going to be out of work recovering from this rediculously crazy surgery? anyone??? come on now anyone??????
