Can't believe I'm awake
It's 2:52am, and I'm wide awake. We'd moved the bed into the far little bedroom so the master bedroom carpet could be installed, and it's pretty warm in there tonight. Aaron has the fan going, but he's also still got the big down blanket on as well. It's really windy or I'd open a window. I should've cleaned the screens so we could put them back into the high windows and open them to let the hot air out. Perhaps I should make a mental note to do that tomorrow afternoon.
So right now I"m sitting downstairs in the dark with my second glass of ice water. I'm actually starting to feel really cold, so that'll help me snuggle down when I go back upstairs. I hope.
In other news, it was a very productive day. This morning Aaron mowed the lawn, did the edging and the ditch. I hoed and raked my ass off around the 4 trees out front to get all the weeds and suckers and other miscellaneous crap out from under them. Now I just want to get some mulch to put around them to keep the weeds down this year, next year I can play with plants. I also trimmed up a couple bushes that were looking scraggily, but for the most part my bushes are looking pretty good. I may have to trim up my rhododendrons a little after they bloom. I have a feeling some of the branches got frostbitten and aren't going to produce healthy flowers, new leaves, or any other new growth. Plus they're getting leggy. I also need to finish up with the bed around the crab apple tree and dig up the rest of the daffodil and tulip bulbs so I can relocate them in the fall.
We also assembled and installed the three shelving units Aaron got for the master closet. It already looks much better. Now we can buy the clothing racks and install those, paint and reinstall the molding, and then it will be ready to start using (once everything is cleaned and dusted in there).
Okay, now I'm ready to go back to bed. I hope I sleep!
