Yeah, so I fell off the face of the earth for about three weeks.....

It was an extremely busy holiday season, between working and all the family visiting and friend fun.... Here's the short version.

Saturday before Christmas was macaroni making. Christmas Eve we made pizza for supper, went to Mass, and then me, Aaron, Christina and Jeff went to Aunt Diana's for the Gianetto side of things. Aaron stayed over Christmas Eve, and Christina and Jeff came back up Christmas morning to do presents here, then off to Gramma's for dinner and gifting. I got my digital camera, a Canon PowerShot SD600 ELPH (meaning it's really small) and it works great. Aaron gave me a love knot bracelet, a circle necklace that says "Faith, Hope, Love" on it, and a pair of really nifty earrings. The bracelet and necklace I wear every day, but the earrings are a bit dangly and kinda on the heavier side, so they're not something I could wear to work or for hours at a time. But they're really pretty and I like them a lot. Christmas Day night I made pecan pie to take to PA.

Went to Brookville on the 26th and stayed through the 30th. I bought hiking boots (Columbia for only $50, not bad at all), and Aaron and I went hiking on Thursday afternoon. We went to the movies with a couple of his friends one night to see Pursuit of Happyness, which was excellent, and on Thursday Aaron's sister and her family got back from visiting her husband's family in central PA. Friday the 29th we went on a mini-wine tour around the area (I drank the equivalent of 3 glasses of wine in about 15 minutes at the first winery, and then fell asleep the rest of the afternoon). Saturday Aaron and I helped Ruth make dinner, and Aaron's grandma came over so we could all be together before we had to leave.

Saturday night after we got back, Sue, Dave and Ange came over to my house so we could exchange gifts, and we got to hang out a bit. Sunday night was the New Year's party at Chris's, which was fun as usual. And then it was back to work on Tuesday of last week.

That's pretty much been all of it. Aaron and I decided on Taormina for our excursion to Sicily, which should be beautiful if the weather is nice. Very excited that it's less than 3 months away now until we leave for Italy. *squee*

Aaron's birthday was Thursday, I cooked dinner for him, and it came out really good. Friday night we went up to Great Northern to see The Good Shepherd (not as good as we thought it would be, I recommend it as a possible rental for anyone who was thinking of going to see it - don't spend the money for the theater). We went to Panera for dinner, it was alright. We were more impressed by the Quiznos we went to at the KMart plaza in Fulton for lunch on Saturday. After lunch we scooted back to my house so I could take care of some Reading Academy stuff, then went back to Aaron's to play for a whle. I got to see his charcoal drawings from his art class, and then he taught me, well, sorta taught me, how to do one, so we spent the afternoon just sitting and drawing and such. Then we watched From Here to Eternity and Cool Hand Luke.

Last night Gramma and Grampa C took everybody out to Canale's to celebrate the January birthdays. It was fun to get everyone together, Rachel and Brian even brought their little loveys.

I hope this week goes by quickly. Last week dragged despite being a short week, we all wished we could've had January 2nd off to recuperate from New Year's. It was an enjoyable week off, don't get me wrong, but I didn't really have a "break" over break. Wouldn't give back a minute of it though.

I need to start getting into an exercise routine. Mary Jo Griffiths and Sharon Somers started walking the halls and stairways at school this week in the mornings, I was thinking about joining them but I wouldn't want to or be able to do it every day. I'll have to email Mary Jo.
