Conferences
All six of the parents that were scheduled to come today showed up for their conferences. I only have one parent I didn't hear back from about the conference tomorrow, so hopefully the second note and the mention on the report card will help her remember to show up. My conferences went really well today, some very good conversations. Hopefully tomorrow will go as well as today.
It's the pig-out day tomorrow, I signed up to make gob cake. I haven't made it yet, but it seems pretty simple. Julie said you're supposed to use jelly roll pans, which we don't officially have, but we have ginormous cookie sheets that will work - they may in fact truly be jelly roll pans in disguise. I hope it comes out okay.
Trying to convince Mom to let me cook Thanksgiving dinner this year. Otherwise nobody will do it. I think it's about time I started learning how, everybody has to do a first Thanksgiving at some point.
