Last night was my brother's 19th birthday. Wow - I can't believe he's that much older.
Kevin, Lee and I went to go get some Manchester Chicken Broil dinners for his birthday dinner. It's a tradition - but this year it happened to fall on his birthday. It only took about half an hour to go throught the line. Evidentally, there were some reps from the Guinness Book of World Records there - Manchester's trying to claim the largest chicken broil in the world. It's all volunteer - most of them being from the Manchester Men's club and the local boy scout troups. The dinner's arent't too bad (except for the radishes they include with them - YUCK!!!)
Kevin got a few gifts, including a BMX bike from my parents, but overall I think he was just happy to have a big family dinner... with Lee, of course. ;)
I admit that I had fun with my family last night... I do get to missing them sometimes. And I'm a stickler about people's birthdays much of the time. If there's some way I can be there on the actual day and help celebrate, I'm your woman.
Tomorrow Phil, Amy, Steve and I are going to the Ann Arbor art fair. Much fun - the two guys have never went, either. I'm just wondering if they'll be able to stand up for the whole afternoon. *evil cackle* They will whether they want to or not!!!!!
Also, there's going to be a rousing round of laser tag in Jackson. A bunch of people are going, including Amy, Steve, Phil, my brother and myself. I'm not too bad at that game - I don't get slaughtered. But I'm not by any stretch of the imagination "good."
I'm off to package hydraulic parts. Till later.
