I think it was A----- that coined the term "recovering Catholic". It's a fantastically amusing term, but it is, in a lot of ways, so eerily fitting. My first thought was "the Catholic church had a presence in India? I thought most of them were Oriental Orthodox?" Then I remembered...oh. yeah. Portuguese colonization. *headdesk*

Sorry to hear about this. I wanted to be a priest (or even...a bishop) so that I could end this kind of crap, but I think at the end of the day I'm too much of a pessimist to be in that sort of position.

Well, like I said in my post, there are genuinely good people in the clergy who do what they can for their charges. While I don't think that you would have necessarily changed the world I think that you would have made a significant enough difference in enough lives to make things worthwhile. You're a wonderful person Cody, but you just have a habit of letting life get to you sometimes.
