In a world, with infinite possibilities, we choose to only save ourselves. We care not for the well being of others, and especially not for those who have hurt us in the past. It may seem to be, that those people probably deserve to be alone, to be forgotten by us. To be admitted to hell when we then think about how we wronged them, in letting them get that far in the first place.
Most people would never even think about going, and consoling those, who hurt us. Those people, that we hurt, by not talking to them. Talking about what went wrong, about hiding secrets, about late night confusion. Most of us, would gladly go up in smoke, before admitting defeat to our hatered and fears. Hatered towards that bringer of pain, and fears that it might happen again, if given the chance.
A lot of us, when faced with the questions of our past, would just shy away, and never look back, keeping that ever growing hole in our chest to get ever deeper, and ever darker with confusion, and pain. A lot of us would want to give answers, and to give them back, but try best not to think about how they hurt their friend, their confidant.
But I think that if we really wanted real happiness and total forgiveness, we'd ask the monsters of our past. We'd muster up the courage to do so, it may've been a challenge to do so, but we really want to be happy with them again, for them to be happy, and to move on. To continue on with their journey of life, ever changing and ever so beautiful.
This ever so joyous thing of life we cling to so haphazardly, can be better. It will be better, if we let it be that way.
