So here we are at the final chapters of Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I didn't really like the way the discussion ran, it was lacking a lot so I need your opinions and suggestions on how to make the discussion of Night Pleasures more enjoyable for everyone. Should we discuss 5 chapters at a time or the book as a whole (which would in my opinion work better, since we wouldn't have to worry about crossing over and discussion chapters early). Please e-mail me: seline_bennet@sbcglobal.net or leave me a comment.

My Thoughts on Fantasy Lover
Honestly I don't understand why this is considered a "Prequel" to the Dark Hunter series as the only thing closest to the Dark Hunter world the reader comes to is when Julian thinks he sees Kyrian at a club (which if you're reading the books in order you won't realize until Night Pleasures). I did enjoy all the irony in the book (Grace being a sex therapist in need of a sex slave and most of all Aphrodite's cold and callous attitude towards her son and especially his feelings for Grace, being that she is the goddess of love you'd think she'd understand better. Then again the gods are nothing but spoiled children with a lot of power.
I loved Julian's growth throughout the book. In the beginning he starts off thinking of himself as an object to seeing himself as a human and having a hard time accepting that no one will ever see him as anything other than an object. He in a way resents Grace for "making him" human when he feels he'll never have a chance to be one. His experiences in the modern world are so funny, my personal favorite is when Grace tries to teach Julian to drive. A feared Greek General who was tireless in his quest to destroy Rome and he couldn't even handle a car!
Also, Grace's encounter with Rodney brought a very real element to the story, it was just what therapists have to deal with on a regular basis. It also reinforces that it could happen to ANYONE at anytime (as I believe Rodney had displayed similar behavior with another woman).
Priapus... Spoiled, horny pain in the ass.
Overall the book was entertaining at best but it did lack that good vs. evil/mystery & suspense element that adds to a romance story.
