The End of Cuck State

(Cut due to politics.)

It seems that the end may be near for Red State:

At best, I read the site maybe once or twice every few months in the past several years. I stopped bothering completely once it became clear that commentaries like these were the site's current norm:

James Fulford at VDare.com notes ultimately about the purges:

Every one of those guys is either a cuckservative or a neoconservative, more interested in policing "racism" than in any kind of conservative agenda. Good riddance!

Yeah. To cite one example, Patterico's transformation into a psychotic Never Trumper proved to be particularly disturbing, yet maybe it was meant to be. Incidentally, the Z Blog had an early 2017 commentary about Red State generally, or more nonsense involving Neil Stevens. Given yesterday's events, here's the obligatory memory refresher, as linked below.

Like all of the sites in the cuck-o-sphere, Red State has seen its traffic collapse over the last year. That’s because they were never expressly conservative. They were always just to the right of the Official Left. As progressives rocketed off into identity politics, all of these guys tagged along behind them, convinced that being a little less enthusiastic for the latest liberal fads was enough to make them “conservative” and keep the good times rolling. As a result, they claim anyone not falling for their act is a Nazi.

Red State becoming Pink State is no surprise as it was never expressly right wing, rather it was just a marketing vehicle for the people who started it. All of them have moved on as the enterprise served its purpose. Now it is being overrun by rotund rodents like Neil Stevens, launching purity campaigns against everyone to their right. It’s a good lesson for those inclined to support the emerging voices out of the Dissident Right. Not all of them are in it for the right reasons so taking any of them at face value is not a good idea.

Speaking of Salem Media, the Conservative Treehouse also has similar past commentary about Salem cuckservatism:

Wonder who will be next. Honestly, I wouldn't mind if Twitchy went away, either, especially its Current Year version. The block quote and links below should be able to explain why.

https://twitchy.com/samj-3930/2018/04/02/sweet-schadenfreude-the-daily-beast-totes-confused-that-alt-right-really-was-just-a-fringe-group/

Or:

The same occurred at Michigan State-aptly described as a “mini-Charlottesville.” Video suggests Greg Conte, Richard Spencer’s colleague, was trying to separate dueling groups, essentially doing the police’s job for them. When he is confronted by a mob, the police are nowhere to be seen. However, when he asks them why police aren’t doing their job, Conte is swarmed by police and arrested and now charged, absurdly, with resisting arrest, among other things.

The center-right site Twitchy is attempting to portray these events as a kind of victory for mainstream conservatism: “The Daily Beast can’t paint all conservatives and right-wingers as the alt-right anymore,” it proclaimed [SWEET Schadenfreude! The Daily Beast TOTES confused that the alt-right really was JUST a fringe group, by Sam J, April 2, 2018].

This is ridiculous. The Respectable Right will continue to be called “racist” or “linked to white nationalists” until the fall of the Republic itself.

Again, yeah. I am old enough to recall when Twitchy first appeared. Michelle Malkin created it, and then eventually sold it to Salem Media and so on. While it may still have its purpose, via being a social media news round-up site, the signs of it possibly becoming another Pink State are there. Maybe, it won't end up like Red State, but time will tell, etc.
