I have been reading OP fic nonstop [well, sleep and food and whatnot] for the last three and a half days, incl. today. Man, do I need to start on homework! Midterms in two weeks! Omg! Presentation in one! Oh god. I feel doom and it is approaching. Anyways, I came across this entry while looking for more fic, and it is so true. One Piece is not about the pirates, but the straw hat, bitches. Ahhh. It's about so much. The post is just a corner of the OPverse. One Piece is life, loss, death, lack thereof, battles and wars, shiny things, and how failure does not mean the end. But it's also about events, casual relationships, irrelevancy, fun and games, and sometimes, very serious business; don't worry, the angst is well-proportioned and given out in more than managable doses.
I do hope that we'll get to go back through a few islands, or they'll travel to see Luffy at the end of the Line. I read a really depressing fic by maldoror_gw about lonliness and desperation within the bounds of a King's victory. It was very depressing. Although, I don't think this will happen, thank god [I have some sense left in me = can handle stress well? XD]. Luffy isn't one to let them leave, or if they are going to, I don't think he would end up alone and delusional.
I worry about the ending of OP sometimes. How can he possibly end it? Of course, Luffy will accomplish his goal, with perhaps 10~ members of the crew, the marines will have some crack, there shall be upheavals galore, the CP9 have got to show up again, to say "drats! if only it weren't for rubber idiots and so and so!" we'll find out a lot more about the Void Century, more pirates will show up [RED LINE OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG], there'll be kickassery and hijinks, and omg to bounties. How are the marines going to end up? World Government? Shanks? Ace? Whitebeard? All the people the Mugiwara have seen and heard? And perhaps the most important of all: Will Ener ever get back to Earth? No, no, I'm joking. What is "One Piece"?
Oh dear! There are just so many things to think about. I am sure that Oda will be most well known for this series, no matter what he plans on doing next.

OP yaoi strikes me as rather off-limits. I don't know if it's the furry, the rubber, or just the nakamaship. Shounen-ai is vaguely alright. Esp. Kaku/Lucci. Coughs. See fic craze. XD Yaoi is mostly just weird. Het is even creepier. Though, not in Blueno's case. It is the lack of Blueno fic [not that I would know, really] and good writing. Sigh. Well. I'm not really OP fandom-y. Just on the outskirts, a sometime-reader and lurker.
I do not understand the cries of 'repetitive' from naysayers. They are all idiots. And two, One Piece does not have ugly art. My heart was captured from the very start. Do not try to "get over" the art. There is no need, and it would also be a crime. It is part of the story, just as much as the characters. Personally, I do not think any lover of One Piece can truly dislike the art, but it is an acknowledgement of possible reactions. Besides, One Piece would not be One Piece if Oda was different. I do hope that this series will continue to steal my whole attention for the rest of its life and mine.
Oh god! I have crimes to confess: Did not know that Bump of Chicken did Sailing Day for OP until I listened to that album a while ago and thought, hey, this sounds familiar...!!! Hangs head in shame. Also: There was a OP special in the 10th Anniversary One Piece Treasures book - four pages of OP, school version. Ahhh! feels like such a loser. XD
ITOU ARC IN ANIME! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. SO BEAUTIFUL. I wish the Benizakura arc was longer. And the Yagyuu arc! Too beautiful. How is can an anime be so beautiful?! There are not many on my list. So beautiful and manly and young-maiden-heart-grabbing. Ahhhh~~~ Sorachi~! anything he does after this will not be as great, because, damn! Shinsengumi! C'mon! Edo! Aliens! Strawberry milk and inflatable sex dolls! You can't beat that. Gintama should never end. There is no ending, anyways. o__o How would this series end?! Does not think about it, omg.
Gintama is not slowing down. It is accelerating! Kagura's brother shows up, Zura's hair flutters madly, and we still do not know the entire history between Gintoki, Katsura, Sakamoto, and Takatsugi. And: Dear god, do they even have parents?!
If you haven't seen the Gintama anime yet, now is the time to start. Go, Itou arc, go! <33 Just finished watching it and oh dear lord, was it good. So beautiful. Cried a little. I hate it when people die, though the necessity is there. Er, the bond part looked sort of like Itou was gettig cut in half, though. >> And there's a tidbit in the ED: Kagura's otou-san and oniisan! Oniisan is so hot. Oniisan in manga chapter 213 is so hot and gay. The anime producers really like to focus on people's [hijikata XD] butt+crotch area, no? Too beautiful for words.
Hijikata[ad;f' PURI CURE]+Takatsugi+Soug--The boys look increasingly gay each time I see them. XD Oh, Gin-san. You are my fav. main chara, and that makes Gintama so strong. Ahhhh! Just dies of fangirl happy. Tch. I need a proper episode 102 raw.

Right-o. I had an assignment, due last week, and I am going to polish and post it as soon as I finish these few sentences. Of course, I handed it in. Let me explain the assignment first. An autobiography. 1-2 crimes you have committed. Insight, please = motive, experience, thoughts, aftermath and possible sentencing. We handed in two copies. Every week, we will take two papers and read for the experience. I will also attach examples of what other people have written.
The word requirements is 4p double-spaced min, which is about 2,000 words. Now, all of you should know the difficulty that much 'creative writing' presents to me, who can barely write 600 words, let alone 2000. This felt like fic. Horrible, horrible fic. Fic, in first person, nonetheless. What was I to do? I don't really commit crimes! Well, none that I can speak of... like anime/manga... porn... really minor theft, traffic and road offenses, minor incivilities such as v. minor vandalism, etc. The usual. Plus porn. So I was thinking, I cannot possibly write anything good, now, can I? What experience do I have? Days[?] later, I thought about the assignment again and realized that I was a complete idiot. I read fiction and non-fiction. I was a complete idiot.
It was still horrible, horrible fic.
Notes: Overall, it was much better than I expected, and man, humility aside, is it better than other people-u's stuff. I am amazed at the level of writing.
Post written June 01, no time to polish though I said I would as I should start on stuff for tomorrow and it's 10.32p, so posting actual thing in an edit later. How sad. Edits made: changed tense from awkward present/past to past, added a bit of detail, expanded the story, hopefully.
