[The pcd only clicks on for audio this time in which there's a heavy sound of breathing. It's rushed as if someone is fighting hard with each breath they're taking. To what end? It isn't clear even as Allen brings in a very steady tone.]

Nothing. My powers come from a crystal that has been embedded in my body for as long as I can remember. It even sealed a hole in my heart.

I don't know why it tore free of me but it did. The hole is open again. I'm not sure what can be done to stop that.

Back home Tyki stuffed a cannibalistic golem into my chest to chew a hole in my heart and destroyed the crystal. When it was a mist, that's when it sealed the hole to keep me, it's partner alive. [He's talking quietly, then pauses because he's in pain.]

I'm just relieved the golem isn't in here chewing still. And I'm sorry to trouble you with this.

[He blinks at the rags but instead of wasting more time, he starts to clean up that stump and redress it, removing the bandages Break gave him. The left side of his face is a mess, bleeding and fresh as the day it was cleaved in twain along the left eye.]

[It's not a pretty sight, but Snape doesn't seemed fazed at all, instead assessing Allen with a critical eye before pulling out a potion from within his robes and handing it to the boy.]

A temporary wound closer. It should work for the short term if you take your doses everyday.

[It's dangerous to take too much at once, but Snape's hoping that since Allen's a muggle now, smaller concentrations will still be effective.]

[He takes the bottle very carefully as he peers up at Snape and nods.]

How much do I need to take and how long does each dose last?

[Pulling out a spoon and measure out a teaspoon-full before holding it in front of Allen's mouth and checking his PCD for the time.]

We won't know for sure until it's tested.

[This mannerisms is so familiar, and he knows from where. It makes him set his jaw, and defiance dance in his gray eye. Yet, this is the only possible path to staying alive right now and takes the spoonful, careful not to spill a drop and swallows.]

[Snape carefully notes the time before capping the potion and stuffing it and the spoon back into Allen's hand. And then he turns his attention to the left side of the boy's face, pulling out another bottle from within his robes and dipping a clean rag into it.]

This will sting.

[Well, sting is kind of an understatement, really. Which Allen will find out when Snape starts dabbing it on.]

[It hurts but he just grits his teeth and endures it. Allen clenches his only hand on his leg to distract himself from the aching.]

[Despite how gruff Snape is, and how much the damn potion stings, the wizard's actions are gentle as he avoids irritating the wound more than necessary. When he's done, he sits back, watching as the potion does its job, slowly staunching the flow of blood. And if one is looking closely, it seems to be healing. Very, very slowly, but still faster that such a wound normally would. It probably wouldn't completely close and heal within a week, but it was better than nothing.]

Hold this.

[A long strip of cloth was carefully laid across the left half of Allen's face before Snape slowly started wrapping it around his head. Best not to let it get infected.]

[Allen's still observant enough to pick that up. He relaxes despite the pain and does as he's told. He can feel the injury healing like it always does. The closing that has nothing to do with a curse this time.]

[And his eye is covered, like so long ago. The memories are there at the edges of his thoughts, along with the pain and a gruff voice urging him forward. That's all this is, he thinks as he breathes slowly.

Keep moving. Walk forward until the day you die.]
