[It's not long before Katara arrives on the scene, carefully managing two hold two chipped mugs of tea and what sort of looks like a sandwich. She smiles a little crookedly at Allen -- she thinks this may be the first time she's seen him in person -- and heads over to him, offering him a mug of tea.]

[He probably looks very strange right now. With one arm missing, (the arm that was black) and a mask over his face. He accepts the mug with one hand and smiles at her once he's pulled his mask down. You are offically awesome. You brought him food.]

Thanks. I feel warmer already.

[She's doing her best not to be startled by the fact that he's missing an arm. She wants to ask how he lost it, if it hurt -- but that'd be impolite, wouldn't it? So, instead, she just smiles at the thanks.]

It's not a problem, honestly. Is there anything else you need? Are you warm enough?

[It will probably be freaky later to find out his sword is his arm. He's very touched by her worry and it shows.]

Ah, I'm warm enough. I have my coat in case it gets too cold. I'm alright. How are you doing?

[Probably a little bit, yep. But Katara is a worrier, and a motherer, and it's a nice change to have someone appreciate that instead of be annoyed by it.],/small>

I'm.. getting better. It seems stupid to be so upset about my brother when everything else seems to be going wrong, too.

[He's never had a mother figure in his life save Miss Unohana. She kinda scares him where as Katara doesn't...yet.]

I don't think it's stupid to miss family even when things are dire. Especially when things are so bleak, that's when we miss people we love the most.

[Katara can be pretty frightening, yes. She packs a big punch for a little girl. She smiles a little at that, though winces when she sips the tea. She made it a little strong.]

I can't help feeling selfish. Like I should care about the people that are here, not the ones who are gone. [She sighs and shakes her head.] What about you, Allen? Do you have people at home? If that's not too personal.

I always see it as I can do both at the same time. I have people who need me back home. But I have to believe in them and their strength. They'll be fine and I'll find a way back to them one day.
