I work in the library! It almost takes care of itself, but officially there does need to be a warden in charge, and I have the shelving order memorized.

Someone should tell you some things about the Barge, though. Has anyone filled you in about the floods?

Magical anomalies that overtake the Barge occasionally. They change the inhabitants in seemingly unpredictable patterns but usually only last a few days.

Changes the inhabitants in what ways, exactly?

Well, once all of the wardens were turned into children... and another time people began experiencing strange emotional fluctuations. That one was more recent.

So these "floods" are events where random things simply...happen?
