NEW VD & SC EPISODES RETURN!!! (My Ep. 16 Thoughts)

**MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW**
*My initial reactions and thoughts mostly as I watch**

"Vampire Diaries" -- ep. 3x16 ("1912")

• Clock chimes midnight...in 1912!
• 1912: Sheriff Gerald Forbes and Mr. Salvatore worry about another council member being killed -- Mr. Salvatore is stabbed
• Carol seems impatient
• ALARIC LIVES!!! (yet he's a prisoner)...Damon tries to get Alaric out of jail (Sheriff isn't listening)
• Elena and Matt go for a job
• Elena's packing on the layers (some sign of when in the year we are at)
• Matt tells Elena about how Bonnie's doing (Abby is going to complete the transition)
• Damon and Elena run into each other...Damon's acting cold towards her
• It's only the next day for Mystic Falls (yet for us its been a month)
• Animal jokes to Stefan...lol Damon
• Damon wants to visit the past with help from Stefan and his journals
• 1912 was the last time the Salvatores had been to Mystic Falls since they turned
• 1912: Stefan meets Marianna Lockwood & Samantha Gilbert (great-granddaughter to Johnathan Gilbert....I think that's the title)
• WEBCLIP -- Damon greets Stefan at the funeral (it's been 50 years since they've last seen each other)
• 1912: Damon is angry with Stefan (he even wished Giuseppe a passing RIP)
• Damon wants to go drinking...with Stefan
• Stefan calls Alaric Damon's best friend! (I just love that acknowledgment!)
• Rebekah meets with Carol (she's trying to find the White Oak Tree)
• Damon and Rebekah seems to have made eye contact at the Grill
• Salvatore family have the info that Rebekah needs
• Liz points out how Alaric could be seen to have motives in the night
• Things aren't looking good for Alaric
• Giuseppe had knocked up a maid which is where Zachariah Salvatore came to be (or how their lineage continued on since it wasn't from Damon or Stefan) which makes Zachariah the vampire brothers' nephew
  
• Stefan brings up Sage -- Damon alludes that he's had great sex with Sage back then
• 1912: Damon and Stefan come across Sage boxing (Sage winked to Damon)
• 1912: Whoa...Damon shot Sage down
• Rebekah knew a Sage once (wonder how that was and when)
• I think Stefan's on to something...it could easily be a woman doing the killings in 1912 like how I believe it's Dr. Fell doing them now!
• Elena confronts Dr. Fell (I really don't like what was being said about Alaric in that moment)
• ALARIC's being SET UP!!!
• Rebekah still fishes for Salvatore information from the brothers...they leave to have "boys' night"
• Elena and Matt break into Dr. Fell's place
• Elena finds the secret compartment that she suspected that all founder members had...finding all files of the three latest victims
  
• Damon reads from Stefan's diary (Rebekah teams up with Damon)
• 1912: Damon was having no fun...Damon was actually being faithful to Katherine (until Sage suggested that he relish in being a vampire)
• 1912: Sage teaches Damon had to seduce certain women (the more reserved ones)
• Rebekah reveals that Sage was involved/interested with Finn (900 years ago)  -- is that what Sage meant that 'everyone is spoken for in some way'...? (that actually might explain some of Present!Sage's photos with Finn by a piano or how rumors have it that there is some leverage against Finn)
• Stefan is freaking out (he wants to kill the staff)
• Elena finds a Gilbert journal....Matt finds that the coroner report was falsified
• Elena and Matt hide in the closet when Dr. Fell comes home
• BUSTED! -- I REALLY believe that Dr. Fell isn't human (there is no way she would have known that Matt and Elena were in the closet unless they moved something significant or she heard their silence somehow [like a vampire would])
• Matt and Elena are being lectured by Sheriff Forbes
• Alaric is being released
• Damon and Rebekah talk about Stefan while following him
• Damon gives Stefan some tough love with his bloodlust
• Matt and Elena catch the end of Stefan feeding off the girl (Damon was healing when they showed up)
• I really don't get why Elena's so shocked at the sight of Stefan after feeding, I mean she has no clue that Stefan was trying to go cold turkey so why would the sight shock her? (I get the surprise that comes to seeing him yet not the surprise of seeing him with blood around his lips)
• Elena's presence alone is going to interfere with Damon's tough love plan for Stefan
• Matt questions Elena about her thing with the vampire brothers
• Explanation: In the beginning, Elena always felt safe with Stefan because she knew as if he'd never die (that's why she attached herself to Stefan just after her parents' died)
• Matt gives Elena the Gilbert journal that Dr. Fell had
• Elena hugs Alaric when he returns home (AWWW!!!!)
• Damon delivers the news about Alaric to Stefan
• Damon wants Stefan to take everything into moderation (Damon's version of AA....he's got his speeches and everything *smirks*)
• 1912: Damon tells Stefan the lessons that Sage had taught him (brother moment in a way)
• 1912: The start of Stefan's Ripper ways (starting with the death of Marianna Lockwood I believe)
• Damon blames himself for letting Stefan go over the edge
• Damon WANTS to help Stefan this time and he won't back down until Stefan doesn't need him anymore!!
• "Because right now, you're all I got." -Damon to Stefan (OMG, I'm always so emotionally moved when the brothers have moments like this!!!)
• Elena reads the newly discovered Gilbert journal (who belongs to Johnathan's ancestor...Samantha maybe?)
• Once again...I love Alaric/Elena bonding!
• Damon plays piano!!! =D
• Stefan found something in the Salvatore archives...apparently Samantha Gilbert confessed 10 years later but Damon had killed her in 1912
• Dr. Fell tells Alaric that the Gilbert ring may be why he's loosing time (causing his blackouts)....it's the same thing that happened to Samantha Gilbert (she eventually became insane but why attack the counsel members?)
  
• Alaric can't be the killer!!! (They need to save him! I definitely wasn't expecting that!)
• Promo for 3x17 (#1) -- Sage returns...Rebekah foils Damon's plan....some Stefan/Elena/Alaric scene
• Promo for 3x17 (#2) -- Damon kisses Rebekah, Damon makes out with Sage in the shower....Damon/Rebekah/Sage.....(either way, Damon's getting a lot of action in this episode *smirks*).......Alaric gets medical tests done and in another moment he attacks Dr. Fell

"Secret Circle" -- ep. 1x16

• Faye informs her mother that John Blackwell is back (you can definitely tell that she's interested in that)
• John did love Amelia with all his heart
• Cassie seems smug about the amount of control she has over her magic
• John tries to warn Cassie but she's not listening
• John and Jake cross paths (and John approves that Jake watches over Cassie)
• Circle meeting
• Why do characters find the need to talk about secrets out in the opening? I mean Cassie's workplace for the meeting...what were they thinking?
• HEY! Is it just me or is Lee's ex-comatose girlfriend (Eva?) the same girl that played Emma (Dean's Amazon 'daughter') on Supernatural?
• Diana and Melissa hang out by getting everything set up for the fundraiser
• Enter Grant...a potential love interest for Diana
• Cassie spies on John at the abandoned house (he seems angered that he can't find what he was looking for)
• Faye visits Lee and he turns down her fundraiser invite
• Adam tells Cassie about the 'sway' that he and Nick found a few years back
• I think John wants the sway to drain Cassie of her powers to protect her (unless it transfers power then he'd want the power for himself)
• Cassie confronts John....the sway was used to give Eben power (the sway transfers powers to a mortal but only a witch could spell it)
• John says that someone in the circle betrayed them by spelling the sway for Eben but who could it be? For some reason I think it's either Dawn or John (assuming that he's actually lying)
• Lee kisses Eva in front of Faye (I think I prefer Faye over Eva)
• Grant shows up at the fundraiser and I believe he was flirting with Diana
• Adam doesn't like it when Cassie accuses Ethan (his father) to being the one to be working with the witch hunters that day in the fire (the one who betrayed John)
• Cassie goes see Jake after her fight with Adam
• Adam confronts Ethan about John...no such luck on Adam's end
• Did Faye really just shed a tear while talking to Lee at the fundraiser? I didn't take her for the emotional type in situations like that.
• John and Dawn meet again...she's flirting (and power hungry)
• John resists Dawn (I love that!) as he focuses on finding Ethan
• Cassie and Adam apologize to one another
• Faye and Melissa win 7 times at Blackjack
• Eva catches Lee and Faye together (some harsh words were said from Eva...yikes)
• Someone follows John with a knife...ready to strike!
• Jake is not giving up on Cassie
• I really hope Grant isn't evil...Diana does need some love
• Cassie witnesses John being stabbed...she runs after the male attacker (Ethan!)
• John stops Cassie from attacking Ethan before it's too late
• Cassie finally starts to listen to John's lessons about magic
• Some Diana/Grant bonding.....they kiss! (Diana tells Grant to come back from his sailing trip)
• Eva has power now....which she uses to kill Lee (by rapidly aging him after he officially dumps her)
• John confronts Ethan.....Ethan really did betray the circle 16 years ago..........Amelia is brought up
• Not only are the Blakes and the Conants "written in the stars", but it's a curse (something bad is going to happen now...I can feel it)
• Adam loves Cassie?!?!?! How could he love her already? They sleep together -_-
• The crows are circling....significance? (no clue)
• Promo for 1x17 -- WHOA! I wasn't expecting the curse to be that experience...yikes! That's definitely going to damper the sex life of Cassie/Adam (*cheers* I'm a Jake/Cassie fan)....someone needs to get rid of Eva like now!

New episodes have returned!!!! Tonight's VD episode is definitely what I needed to brighten my mood after the terrible in-class Roman culture essay I had to endure this morning. All I have left is 2 essays and then I'm done with evaluations before classes are done. *groan* It's like I WANT the semester to be over to be done with all this studying for a bit but then I don't because that means exams are coming up faster than I'd like. Anyone else feel like that?

PS. Who else is experiencing some fabulous weather right now? It's definitely 'leather jacket' type of weather (not too hot and definitely not to cold...like when summer and fall are just coming together).
