A Delayed Destiny is Fulfilled on this SPN Finale! (13x23 Thoughts)

Alright so here is a jotted recap of the episode with my initial thoughts included throughout and after the episode. I do it this way because my memory sucks when it comes to recalling things that don't revolve around my OTP for the series.

- Dean wakes Jack up from a nightmare

- Dean admits to having nightmares too
- Jack wonders what he sees
- Dean admits that he sees the faces of those he couldn't save
- Jack sees the same
- Flashes of Kevin's sacrifice and the rebels killed with him
- Jack blames himself
- Dean gives Jack some advice
- Dean calls Jack strong
- "You are strong. Even when we're strong, bad things are gonna happen." -Dean
- Dean tells Jack that they will make mistakes because they aren't perfect
- "We're gonna make mistakes. Nobody is perfect but we can get better. Every day, we can get better. So

- Jack blames himself for Maggie's death
- Sam tells him not to blame himself
- Dean wonders what happened
- Mary reveals that Maggie's death doesn't look supernatural
- Castiel wonders what could have happened
- "Who would do something like this?" -Castiel
Bunker
- Sam, Dean, Castiel and Jack interrogate a friend of Maggie's
- The friend isn't told that Maggie is dead until this moment
- The friend mentions the guy at the gas station that Maggie was interested in
- "There was a boy." -Friend
- "What boy?" -Jack
- "Nate. He works at that store out on Route 281. Maggie, she had a crush.
- That's why she snuck out last night. She was going to meet him." -Friend
- Jack disappears before anyone else could react
- Jack gone by angel air?
Gas Station
- Nate checks the aisles
- Jack interrupts
- Jack attacks Nate
- Castiel arrives and tries to intervene
- Jack pushes Castiel away
- Castiel flies off
- Sam and Dean rush in
- Dean shoots Jack repeatedly in the back
- Jack stumbles
- "You shot me?!" -Jack
- "To get your attention. You're acting like a psycho!" -Dean
- First off, didn't Jack use angel air to get to Nate? If so, how did the others get there so fast?
- Jack is convinced that Nate killed Maggie
- Nate is shocked to hear about Maggie's death
- Sam defends Nate's genuine surprise
- Jack apologizes before taking off
- Castiel tries to run
- Dean pulls Castiel back (telling him to let Jack cool off alone)
Woods
- Jack blames himself for hurting people
- Jack remembers to all the times he used his powers against innocents
- "Why do you keep hurting people?!" -Jack
Gas Station
- Sam, Dean and Castiel try to cover their actions with Nate
- A shrieking sound is heard
- Dean tells Nate to run
- The shrieking intensifies

- Jack continues to hit his arm
- Fluttering wings are heard
- Lucifer appears behind Jack
- "Hello son." -Lucifer

Gas Station
- AU Michael appears before Sam, Dean and Castiel
- Dean tells them to run
- The trio race to the Impala
- The windows shatter from the outside
- Dean rushes to the trunk
- Michael walks out
- "Heya fellas, you missed me?" -Michael
- Castiel pulls out his angel blade
- Sam pulls Castiel back
- Dean lights some holy oil and tosses it to block Michael's path
- The hunters rush to escape

- Jack questions Lucifer's appearance
- Sam said that Michael killed Lucifer
- Lucifer admits that he wasn't killed by Michael
- "Sam is a big fat liar." -Lucifer
- Lucifer claims he doesn't blame Sam for leaving him behind
- Jack wonders about the rift
- Lucifer shifts the focus
- Lucifer brings up why he's there
- Lucifer wants to be with Jack
- Lucifer points out the differences between humans and angels
- "Because, you know, even though the Three Amigos -- Sam, Dean, and the other one --
- won't admit it, you need me. You do, 'cause we're blood. And we're not human, no matter
- how much we pretend to be. See, humans are...limited and fragile. And I'll admit, they bring
- out the worst in me, I gotta say. It seems like, you know, no matter how much you try to do

- Lucifer brings up their opportunity to explore the galaxy

- "Exactly like Star Wars! Do you want a light saber?" -Lucifer
- Jack wonders about Sam, Dean and Castiel missing him
- Lucifer admits that they would miss him
- Lucifer wants for him and Jack to have a second chance
- Jack admits he wants to start over
- Jack wants Lucifer to do one thing first
Bunker
- Mary and Bobby talk about who could kill Maggie
- Mary wonders if it's just other monsters of their world that killed her
- Jack and Lucifer interrupt
- Mary and Bobby are tense
- Jack leads Lucifer to Maggie's body
- Mary tells Bobby to call Sam
- Jack wants Lucifer to resurrect Maggie
- Lucifer is stunned
- Lucifer admits that people are always different after resurrection
- "This resurrection stuff is not always a great idea." -Lucifer
- Jack brings up Sam's resurrection
- Lucifer admits that Sam has always been special
- Jack reminds Lucifer that he said he'd do anything
- Lucifer resurrects Maggie
- Sam, Dean and Castiel storm in

- Maggie never saw her killer's face but she saw his eyes

- Dean returns with news about Jody being on high alert
- Castiel has no news about angel radio
- A loud banging is heard
- The lights flicker
- Sam and Dean know who has found them
- Sam tells Mary to leave with Bobby and Maggie through the garage
- Mary protests
- Bobby leads her away
- Michael eventually gets through the door
- Michael levitates down
- Sam and Dean open fire on Michael
- Michael doesn't flinch
- "You really thought you could run from me?" -Michael
- Michael beats through Castiel then Sam
- Michael gets his hands on Dean
- Dean chokes
- Dean wonders how Michael got there
- Michael admits that he made a deal with Lucifer
- Flashback to Lucifer offering the rift spell for his life
- Michael wants Dean to be his first kill
- Sam starts praying to Jack
Woods
- Lucifer has plans for Jack
- Jack starts hearing Sam's prays
- Lucifer wonders what's wrong
Bunker
- Michael prolongs Dean's death
- Dean starts losing his breath
- Michael is thrown backwards
- Jack is back
- Sam is stunned
- Jack uses his power on Michael
- Michael starts to bleed from his eyes and ears
- "You hurt my familiy!" -Jack
- Lucifer is stunned by Jack's power
- Michael breathes out that Lucifer is breaking their deal
- Jack pulls back on his attack
- Lucifer tries to deny Michael's claims
- Sam brings up that Maggie's killer had glowing red eyes
- Lucifer denies it
- Jack demands for the truth
- Jack uses his powers on Lucifer to admit the truth
- Lucifer admits to liking the feel of killing Maggie
- Jack is torn
- "You're not my father, you're a monster." -Jack
- Lucifer is furious
- Lucifer lets out a furious roar with his glowing red eyes
- "She is a human, she doesn't matter!" -Lucifer
- "So am I!" -Jack
- Castiel tries to get closer
- Jack tells Castiel to back off
- Lucifer had plans for him and Jack to remake the world
- Lucifer has no use for Jack...only his power
- Lucifer uses an archangel blade to cut Jack's neck
- Lucifer sucks up Jack's grace
- Lucifer's eyes glow yellow
- "Oh, buddy. We could've been something, you and me. We could've remade the universe.
- It would've been great. We could've been better gods than Dad. And I really wanted that, pal.
- I wanted that. But now if I can't have it with you, I...I don't need ya. I just need your power." -Lucifer
- Lucifer grabs Jack
- Sam rushes to Jack
- Lucifer engulfs him and Jack (and accidentally Sam) into a glowing light
- Castiel tries to intervene
- Dean warns Sam of the light
- The light dissipates with no one standing there
- Dean frantically looks for Sam
COMMERICAL
Bunker
- Dean wonders what happened
- "What just happened?" -Dean
- "I don't know." -Castiel
- "The Devil won, that's what happened." -Michael
Church
- Sam tumbles in his landing
- Lucifer has a hold on Jack
- "Really, Sam? Hitching a ride? I mean, do you ever quit?" -Lucifer
- Lucifer let's go of Jack to kick Sam
- Jack drops to the ground
- Sam groans from the kick
Bunker
- Michael admits that Lucifer will destroy the world with Nephilim's power
- Dean brings up Michael beating Lucifer before
- Michael admits that Lucifer was weaker before
- "How do we stop him?" -Castiel
- "You don't. After consuming the Nephilim's grace, Lucifer's juiced up. He's super-charged.
- He'll kill the boy, your brother. Hell, he could end the whole universe if he put his mind to it.
- And you thought I was bad." -Michael
- Michael feels his vessel is dying
- Dean wonders if Michael's Sword would make a difference
Church
- Lucifer attacks Sam
- "You know... it's been real fun. I really had a great time with you, but I think we should see other people.
- What do you say?" -Lucifer
- Lucifer gets ready to kill Sam
- Jack tries to intervene
- Lucifer tosses Sam aside
- "Now why should I listen to you?" -Lucifer
- "Because...I'm your son." -Jack
- Lucifer punches Jack repeatedly
- Sam tries to intervene
- Lucifer punches Sam repeatedly
- "Daddy Sam coming to the rescue." -Lucifer
- Lucifer reminds Sam that Jack has killed repeatedly
- Sam doesn't care as Jack is family
- "He's got lots of blood on his hands." -Lucifer
- "I don't care. He's family." -Sam
- "What's family done for anybody? My dad left me. My brothers tried to kill me. A lot. Family blows." -Lucifer
- Lucifer wants Jack to kill Sam to prove his point
- Lucifer gives up his archangel blade

- Castiel warns Dean against his idea
- Dean admits that he is Michael's true vessel
- Flashbacks to Season 5 when Dean found out he is Michael's Sword
- "I'm your perfect vessel." -Dean
- Dean wonders about their chances to save Sam
- "If me you'd be stronger than you'd ever been." -Dean
- "I know who you are." -Michael
- Dean makes an offer...one time deal with Dean in control
- "You're the engine but I'm behind the wheel." -Dean
- Castiel refuses
Church
- Lucifer sets the terms
- Lucifer wants Sam and Jack pitted against each other
- Lucifer pushes for them to make a deal
- Sam slowly picks up the Archangel blade
- Jack stares at Sam
- Sam gives the blade to Jack
- Sam believes that Jack could stop Lucifer after getting his power back
- Jack believes that Sam is the one that could stop Lucifer
- "You can. I know you can." -Jack
- Jack gets ready to kill himself
- Sam protests
- "I love you. I love all of you." -Jack
- Jack starts piercing his chest
- A flash of glowing light interrupts
- Dean glows with his wings on display
- Everyone is stunned
- "Dean?" -Sam
- "Hiya Sammy." -Dean
- "You let my brother in." -Lucifer
- "Turns out we both have something in common. We both want to gut your ass." -Dean
- Lucifer attacks
- Dean retaliates
- Their fight goes airborne
- Lucifer eventually beats on Dean repeatedly
- Lucifer moves to smite Dean
- Sam tosses the archangel blade up at Dean
- Dean's face starts to glow blue
- Dean stabs Lucifer
- Lucifer starts to glow red before he bursts
- Everyone takes cover
- Lucifer lands and he's dead with his charred wings
- Wow, so they actually killed the devil?
COMMERICAL
Church
- Lucifer's charred wings start to lose their burn on the ground
- Jack stares at Lucifer's body
- "Is he...?" -Jack
- "He's dead." -Sam
- "Holy crap." -Dean
- "You did it." -Sam
- "No. No, we did it. We did it." -Dean
- Dean bends over in pain
- Dean shouts about their deal
- "We had a deal!" -Dean
- Michael takes control
- "Thanks for the suit." -Michael
- Michael disappears
- Sam and Jack are stunned
Bunker
- Mary and Bobby find Castiel in dispair
Street
- Michael walks down the street with a different suit on
- Dean's eyes glow blue
