Operation Humanity is a Go on VD! (My 6x19 Thoughts)

Alright so here is a jotted recap of the episode with my initial thoughts included throughout and after the episode. I do it this way because my memory sucks when it comes to recalling things that don't revolve around my OTP for the series.

Synopsis: TO TELL HER OR NOT TO TELL HER - Wrestling with whether or not to tell Elena (Nina Dobrev) about the cure, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) brings up their future together and what life would be like if they weren’t vampires. Meanwhile, it’s all hands on deck when attempts to stop a humanity-free Caroline (Candice Accola) doesn’t go as planned. Elsewhere, when Bonnie (Kat Graham) discovers that Damon has betrayed her trust, she takes matters into her own hands, setting off a chain of events that leaves Damon dealing with the fallout. Lastly, after being forced to face his traumatic past, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) sets out for answers and is surprised when he learns the truth about the day he was turned into a vampire. Paul Wesley (Stefan), Zach Roerig (Matt) and Matt Davis (Alaric) also star.
From the looks of things, Stefan maybe going undercover to fool Caroline into thinking he doesn't have his humanity back and it's somehow going to lead her into a trap. Cue in Damon/Elena as they try to trigger her humanity back on. It's very familiar to when the Salvatores tried to break through to an Emotionless!Elena back in 4x21.
I'm worried about Bonnie's retaliation move.
I'm excited to see what Enzo learns...will he go directly to Lily to ask her? Does Lily even remember him?
I believe I saw Liz in the promo so her 'return' is definitely involved in Caroline's 'rehab session'.

- Caroline tries to break the bars off the windows ("They vampire-proofed a B&B.")
- Stefan explains the dessication process
- Caroline wants to drink

- Caroline brings up Elena's time as an emotionless vampire

- Lily confesses to being imprisoned for the last 100 years

- Lily claims that she would have never left him
- Lily brings up how she lived in the Prison World with her 'travel companions'
- Bonnie is brought up

- Matt gets his bandaged before getting dressed for work
- Matt walks out to start his shift but notices Lily is gone
- Matt calls Bonnie with news

- Bonnie hasn't found the ascendent yet
- Lily and Enzo arrive back at the boarding house and Bonnie hears them
- Can they hear Bonnie?
- Bonnie finds the ascendent in time
- Lily tells Enzo how Damon had given her the ascendent
- Lily finds the ascendent gone
- Enzo isn't surprised
- Lily isn't amused that her last link to her 'family' is gone (the family that can reign the Ripper in her inside)
- "Your real family is right here in this house." -Enzo
- Lily demands for Enzo to leave...her vampire eyes show

- Was that Bonnie's retaliation against Damon? To take the ascendent back?

- Damon gets a call with Lily
- Lily demands to know if Damon took the ascendent
- Damon denies the claim and thinks she misplaced it
- "You have not heard me son, I need it back." -Lily
- Lily wants Damon to find the ascendent or she'll destroy the cure
- "Clearly you've learned the art of hiding from your mother." -Lily

- Caroline gets hot and starts to strip
- Stefan refuses to join her
- Can he be any more obvious?

- Damon tells her that he needs to give the ascendent back to Lily
- "My mom has the cure." -Damon
- Bonnie isn't surprised to see where Damon gets his leverage tactics from

- Damon tries to attack her
- Bonnie brings up Damon's postponment of telling Elena about the cure because he's scared of the outcome
- "I know you Damon, I spent 4 months with you. Day in and day out.
- We went to Hell and back again, literally and you're more scared now than I've ever seen you before." -Bonnie
- Bonnie calls Damon out on being scared at the aftermath of Elena taking the cure
- Bonnie goads Damon to take the ascendent if he wants to see Elena grow old and die in 70 years
- Damon walks away
- Did he just chose Bonnie's safety over Elena's happiness?

- Caroline drives fast enough to get pulled over
- The cop that pulls Caroline over is Liz
- Caroline is shocked
- Liz arrests Caroline for two murders
- Caroline tries to get Liz to see that its her daughter she's arresting
- Liz refuses to acknowledge that ("I raised my daugther to be a good person.")
- Caroline refuses to believe that its all real
- Caroline grabs Liz by the neck and starts choking her

- Caroline wakes up to find Stefan hovering over her
- Caroline is furious that Stefan was flooding her with visions
- Stefan tells Caroline to let all the feelings in
- Carolines breaks off a window pane
- Stefan tries to talk Caroline down
- Stefan offers his hand
- Caroline takes his hand only to pull him in so she could stake him in the stomach
- "I don't want your help Stefan, I just want you to die." -Caroline
- Does that mean that Caroline's escape earlier was just a dream?
- When did reality shift into dream...or was it always a dream for her?

- Her reaction tells us what Elena truly wants...she would rather be human =(

- Damon wants to explain but Elena looks horrified

- Was that a good shocked or a bad shocked?
- But won't Damon rapidly age like Katherine did?
CREDITS
My mind is still blown away by Damon's impulsive offer. I swear he can say the most swoon-worthy things. I just feel like that offer was made beautifully on a romantic standpoint, logically (or as logical as you can get with vampires) the cure will rapidly age Damon because he's just under 200 years old.
Glad to see Caroline back with her emotions again. It was great to see Liz again, even if it was just in hallucinations and flashbacks.
Bonnie taking control over the ascendent was great and very much needed.

- Lily fails at ordering her meal
- Enzo wonders what's wrong with Lily
- Lily admits to her first time being in a restaurant
- Enzo brings up Lily turning him and then leaving him
- Lily confesses to being imprisoned for the last 100 years
- Enzo is shocked
- Lily claims that she would have never left him
- Lily brings up how she lived in the Prison World with her 'travel companions'
- Bonnie is brought up
Mystic Grill Bathroom
- Matt gets his bandaged before getting dressed for work
- Matt walks out to start his shift but notices Lily is gone
- Matt calls Bonnie with news
Boarding House
- Bonnie hasn't found the ascendent yet
- Lily and Enzo arrive back at the boarding house and Bonnie hears them
- Can they hear Bonnie?
- Bonnie finds the ascendent in time
- Lily tells Enzo how Damon had given her the ascendent
- Lily finds the ascendent gone
- Enzo isn't surprised
- Lily isn't amused that her last link to her 'family' is gone (the family that can reign the Ripper in her inside)
- "Your real family is right here in this house." -Enzo
- Lily demands for Enzo to leave...her vampire eyes show
- Enzo backs away
- Was that Bonnie's retaliation against Damon? To take the ascendent back?

- Elena tells Damon that Caroline is wrong
- Damon doesn't buy it...he knows that Elena doesn't like being a vampire
- "If I was human, we wouldn't work." -Elena
- Damon agrees and brings up that Human!Elena was with Stefan
- Elena has accepted the fact that she's a vampire and yet she gets to be with Damon
- Damon gets a call with Lily
- Lily demands to know if Damon took the ascendent
- Damon denies the claim and thinks she misplaced it
- "You have not heard me son, I need it back." -Lily
- Lily wants Damon to find the ascendent or she'll destroy the cure
- "Clearly you've learned the art of hiding from your mother." -Lily
- Whoa!
B&B
- Caroline gets hot and starts to strip
- Stefan refuses to join her
- Can he be any more obvious?
- Caroline tries to seduce Stefan
- Caroline hears Stefan's heart racing despite his refusal
- "Am I making you nervous?" -Caroline
- Caroline wonders when Stefan switched his humanity back on
- Stefan denies the claim
- Caroline breaks Stefan's neck
- Caroline manages to kick down the steel door which is supposed to be vampire-proof (shouldn't be possible!)
- Caroline walks out
- She's on the prowl

- Bonnie gets prepared to destroy the ascendent
- Damon interrupts and tries to stop her
- Bonnie refuses ("For the first time, I'm putting me first.")
- Bonnie refuses the possiblity of the Hereutics escaping and coming after her
- Bonnie doesn't want to put everyone they care about in danger (especially a Human!Elena)
- Damon tells her that he needs to give the ascendent back to Lily
- "My mom has the cure." -Damon
- Bonnie isn't surprised to see where Damon gets his leverage tactics from
- Bonnie gets ready to destroy the ascendent
- Damon tries to attack her
- Bonnie brings up Damon's postponment of telling Elena about the cure because he's scared of the outcome
- "I know you Damon, I spent 4 months with you. Day in and day out.
- We went to Hell and back again, literally and you're more scared now than I've ever seen you before." -Bonnie
- Bonnie calls Damon out on being scared at the aftermath of Elena taking the cure
- Bonnie goads Damon to take the ascendent if he wants to see Elena grow old and die in 70 years
- Damon walks away
- Did he just chose Bonnie's safety over Elena's happiness?
Road
- Caroline drives fast enough to get pulled over
- The cop that pulls Caroline over is Liz
- Caroline is shocked
- Liz arrests Caroline for two murders
- Caroline tries to get Liz to see that its her daughter she's arresting
- Liz refuses to acknowledge that ("I raised my daugther to be a good person.")
- Caroline refuses to believe that its all real
- Caroline grabs Liz by the neck and starts choking her
B&B
- Caroline wakes up to find Stefan hovering over her
- Caroline is furious that Stefan was flooding her with visions
- Stefan tells Caroline to let all the feelings in
- Carolines breaks off a window pane
- Stefan tries to talk Caroline down
- Stefan offers his hand
- Caroline takes his hand only to pull him in so she could stake him in the stomach
- "I don't want your help Stefan, I just want you to die." -Caroline
- Does that mean that Caroline's escape earlier was just a dream?
- When did reality shift into dream...or was it always a dream for her?

- Caroline tortures Stefan further by grabbing his heart
- Stefan pushes a memory into Caroline's head
- Stefan waits for Liz to pass him a sowing kit....him and Caroline just found Ms. Cuddles
- Smiles are shared
- Caroline is mortified by the scene
- Stefan admits its a real memory
- Liz hopes that Stefan and Caroline can become more and he's willing to wait for Caroline
- Stefan notices the letter and offers to mail it
- Liz wants it to be perfect before she mails it off
- Caroline lets go of Stefan's heart
- Caroline demands to see the rest of the memory
- Stefan says goodbye to Liz
- Caroline rushes to the door and calls out to Liz and how she wants to read the letter
- "Please, Mommy!" -Caroline
- Caroline pleads for Stefan to bring the memory back
- Caroline wants to know what's in the letter
- Caroline rushes to the askes
- Stefan never knew what was in the letter
- Caroline breaks down
- "I ruined everything." -Caroline
- And Caroline is back!
Boarding House
- Lily waits by the fire
- Damon walks in
- Lily wants the ascendent
- Damon doesn't have it and expects a punishment
- "Some things never change." -Lily
- Lily tosses the cure box into the fire
- Lily talks about the relief that Damon would be feeling, know that Elena will now be his forever
- Lily opens the box with a poker, showing Damon that it's empty
- Lily's punishment to Damon is taking Elena from him
- What mother does that?!?!
- Elena goes to her room and finds the cure
- Her reaction tells us what Elena truly wants...she would rather be human =(
- Elena rushes in and shows Damon the cure, wondering if it's real
- Lily assures Elena that the cure is real and that Damon was never going to give it to her
- "Since Damon was never gonna offer it to you." -Lily
- Lily walks off
- Damon wants to explain but Elena looks horrified

- Alaric gives Stefan a blood bag
- Jo walks back out for more supplies
- Alaric asks about Caroline
- Jo shakes his head and goes back to tend to Caroline
- Stefan gets ready to leave
- Alaric tells Stefan that Caroline needs him
- Stefan knows she won't want to see him
- Jo joins them and tells Stefan to let Caroline decide
- Alaric and Jo leave
- Caroline looks over the murder cases she caused
- Caroline goes back to the letter's ashes
- Can't Bonnie do some magic to restore the letter?
- Stefan walks in
- Stefan wonders how Caroline is
- Caroline tells Stefan not to worry about her...she won't turn it off again
- Caroline doens't know what she and Stefan are now
- Caroline knows that she needs to leave
- Caroline walks out
Road
- Enzo drives up and meets Lily
- Enzo finds himself loyal to Lily because she saved him back in 1903
- Enzo's own family had abandoned him
- Lily talks about silent cars and how she almost caused an accident
- Lily talks about how she felt nothing in that moment
- Enzo notices the blood and the beheaded human in the car
- Lily is horrified by what she's done ("What have I done?!")
- Enzo takes Lily into his arms and comforts her
- Oh boy, Mama Ripper has appeared
Boarding House
- Elena understands all of Damon's questions recently about the future
- Elena never thought she'd see the cure again
- Damon admits that Lily threatened to destroy the cure and he let her

- Damon admits to Elena's view of the future scared him
- Elena wonders what Damon sees
- "All I see in five years from now is you." -Damon

- Elena wonders why Damon kept quiet about the cure
- Damon didn't want to risk losing Elena
- "I am so in love with you that I don't want to lose you." -Damon
- Elena wonders if they can give the cure to someone else (ie: Abby, Caroline)
- Damon knows that Elena will take it
- Damon offers to take the cure with Elena
- "I don't want to face my future without you." -Damon
- Elena is shocked
- Was that a good shocked or a bad shocked?
- But won't Damon rapidly age like Katherine did?
CREDITS
My mind is still blown away by Damon's impulsive offer. I swear he can say the most swoon-worthy things. I just feel like that offer was made beautifully on a romantic standpoint, logically (or as logical as you can get with vampires) the cure will rapidly age Damon because he's just under 200 years old.
Glad to see Caroline back with her emotions again. It was great to see Liz again, even if it was just in hallucinations and flashbacks.
Bonnie taking control over the ascendent was great and very much needed.
