Hello!
I just realised when i popped on tonight that i didn't get off to a good start with the whole postalicious thing i had going for *cough* one post there. To be perfectly honest i completely forgot i wanted to make something of this week.... saturday night i visit the moon (hehe) and decide i'm gonna post my ass off for the next seven days... wake up monday blurry eyed and ready for work, next thing i know it's friday! So yeah, sorry about that, i might leave the postalicious 7 for a little while, maybe things will be different when i get a laptop, but unless it has suddenly become november, i'm pretty sure i can't afford it just yet.
Soooooooo let's forget about that and move on to my next point of order: Requiem for a Dream. It's like wow. yeah, wow. The final scene zooms out and the credits start rolling but you just sit there staring at the screen with your mouth hanging half open, motionless, trying to recover from the last 5 minutes of what you just saw, you sit back and realise you started watching an interesting story about 4 different but connected people, mum, son, friend, girlfriend or something, and without you realising it the movie decends into a dark, scary nightmare, perfectly illustrating the worst case scenario resulting from a once again naiive dabble in drugs (both illicit and more importantly "medical.") I won't go into detail with the storyline, because honestly, the less you know about the movie when you see it for the first time the more you'll enjoy it. It's a brutal (word taken off the case the video came in) film but a very, very good one. I wouldn't recommend it for...how do you say... any "sheltered" people out there... If you're easily shocked and or the type to think weed is the devil then this might not be the movie you're looking for, try one with a happy ending, maybe.
Hey look at that! Incense has two meanings, incense as in the scented sticks etc, but it also means "to make angry."
"ALRIGHT NOW SETTLE DOWN THERE NED! YOU'RE REALLY STARTING TO INCENSE ME!!"
That might come in handy some day. See? Who needs school! I can teach myself! *Puts cup of tea down on top of dictionary* Ha! There you go, already coming in handy.
"I wear my sunglasses at night
So I can so I can
Watch you weave then breathe your story lines
And I wear my sunglasses at night
So I can so I can
Keep track of the visions in my eyes"
Thankyou, and goodnight!
