Drinking/drugging alone is the first sign of a problem...
Drinking or taking drugs by yourself is the first sign of a problem... Why? I can see what they're getting at, but in my opinion, taking drugs by yourself is great! I mean, as long as it doesn't become a "problem" which only requires a little self-discipline....
But getting smashed alone is great! You don't have to worry about acting stupid, you can trip out on whatever you want, whenever you want, it's just all-round good fun. And if you get loney, pop on the net and see if any friends are on... You might even be lucky enough to find they are also smashed, so you're practically together anyway!
I'm a very alone person though, being an only child, i've learnt and dealt with being alone, to the point where i quite like it. Some of my best times have been when i'm alone... i was alone the first time i tried weed, i was alone the first time i saw pink when on weed, i've been alone for a lot of the mad things that has happened to me... i just feel so comfortable when alone that unless i'm _loney_ there doesn't really seem a reason to seek some company. And if you're alone when on drugs in particular, the chances of any paranoia kicking up is pretty much zero, there's no other people in the room to conspire against you, and a quick close of the blinds stops the fear of someone looking in through the window (yeah, i've been there.)
And the hours spent alone after a night of speed or e are pretty unbelievable... 3 hours of lying in bed thinking to yourself and suddenly you've ironed out all the wrinkles in the shirt of life, well, your life anyway.
So i like getting high/smashed/trashed alone... you've got to be a little more careful purely because there's no-one to look out for you, but keeping in mind that self discipline idea, it can be just the opposite to the first sign of a problem, it could quite possibly be some of the best times of your life.
