My dad just bought me a 50mm f1.8 lens. For the price, it's pretty awesome. I would have liked an 85mm for close-up shots, but that's more than $300, so I'm pretty content with what I have. Auto focus is a bitch, but manual focus is quiet and a million times better. My eyesight isn't the best though, so at f1.8, I have a difficult time focusing
