Seriously, I knew I was being an ass to Scarlet the way I was arguing with her, but her Holier Than Thou mentality on the subject and complete contradiction of everything she says really pisses me off. I can debate nice and friendly like whenever she wants to not cop out by saying "Even I argued you wouldn't get it." Yeah, I bet you reeeeally wanted to change people like that.

That's the thing though, I honestly don't think there is a right or wrong as far as eating meat opposed to eating plants. But you don't see meat-eaters trying to force-feed vegetarians. Humans have the ability to healthily consume both, so why does it matter if someone wants to eat meat? And why does it matter if someone doesn't? If you eat a cooked steak you aren't a horrible person, and likewise if you eat a nice salad you aren't going to hell or anything. We were given a choice, I choose to be an omnivore and eat whatever's edible and tastes good, why should Scarlet's choice not to trump mine? The ethical stand-point has no bearing, if animals ran wild they'd be eaten by something else. The dinosaurs are the perfect models, every vegetarian dinosaur was food for every carnivourus dinoursaur.

The fact that stupid people sometimes inhumanely kill animals doesn't mean eating meat is bad, it just means humans are assholes and need to develop better ways to produce food, both meat and vegetables.

im not just talking about this one, i mean i dont eat beef but i eat chicken and stuff. but they usually do treat the animals badly until they are killed, i mean they cant kill millions of animals at once in a humane way. and not eating meat wont really help any since there will always be other people to eat the meat you dont buy, so i agree with you on that.

I know, you're talking about the whole drug thing that came up on my journal too, but I keep trying to enforce that I don't have any problems with you or anything, 'cause you've always been cool. I just don't agree with the things you do and that coincidentally stupid things happen to most people who do drugs. I become more aggressive when people are an ass, and when Arek rolls up in full caps-lock action saying I don't know you or I'm a total asshole for saying that it sucks you got arrested, I go into "WTF" mode and start fighting.

But as far as this vegetarian issue goes, there IS a perfect solution, all it takes is the aggreement of almost every American, and every resteraunt. There's starving people in 3rd world countries that would KILL for the meat products we have, so all we have to do is cut down on meat products we eat, and not to waste what's already slain, we can send some over to other countries. It makes us healthier because we're not over-indulging, and it helps people not starve to death. Everyone wins right? Start lobbying.

"Damn man, I actually feel bad for Laura. She got arrested today and apparantly expelled, I'm assuming drug related but no one really knows right now. But its gotta be.

But, I always said somethin' like this would happen. It just sucks it happened a couple days after she turned 18 and only months before graduation. I feel bad for Laura and Alex 'cause they're good people, they just do incredibly stupid things. Hopefully things work out for them and they aren't completely screwed over for life.

Yup, I totally called them addicts because the word addiction was in there. Yup. You got me. Good job detective dumbass. I didn't call them addicts there, I told people not to get caught up in habits and addictions. Hmm, maybe its a habit that they have to do drugs? You know what? Fuck that. I didn't call them addicts there, but I'm not denying that's what I think they are. And before you try and jump up in my grill, step off, 'cause I'm not 'nor have I ever in this conflict insulted Laura or Alex as people. Saying they're addicted to something isn't necessarily an insult. Its just a fact. How else do you explain the fact that they weren't smart enough to NOT have that crap on campus?

Here's a good idea, lets bring drugs to the place where EVERYONE knows we do drugs and where there's also a couple of cops that patrol the school and do random drug searches on people who are known for doing drugs. :D!

but dont you DARE pretend to know what you're talking about in the situation. were you there? did you know for a fact that they knew they had drugs on them? did you hang out with them outside of school? did you hang out with them at all. i think i can safely say no to all of them. you know who was there? ME. I know what happened. and the drugs weren't the problem. our mistake was not putting faith in our concerns. THATS the lesson learned.

and being an upperclassman at riverview, you should know that nothing stays a secret on that campus. but unfortunately, the true story is rarely revealed. its mostly rumours. you cant start talking about it and pass judgement on something that you heard from a friend, because the probability that what you heard is correct is very slim to none.

I don't repeat any rumors I hear about crap, I know way better than that. I repeat what I saw. And I saw them get arrested for drugs.

And I never said they were stupid, I know better than that as well, from what I've heard, even from teachers, Alex is hella smart. And I know Laura personally so I know she's not exactly retarded, she was IB for Chrissakes, but even the smartest people can make the dumbest mistakes. Because they do something in my opinion that is stupid, or because the situation is stupid, doesn't automatically mean that they are idiots, something I've been saying this whole time that they aren't.

I didn't leave it at "I feel bad for them" because I wanted to vocalize my opinion on what they do, doing my best to state that my view on drugs and my view on them are completely seperate. Had Arek simply posted a disagreement, a much nicer, friendlier debate would be taking place. But the fact is, Arek assumed I knew NOTHING about the situation in general, Arek assumed I knew NOTHING about Laura, and Arek assumed I was talking out of my ass and dogging them, in the only truth there is, is that I simply was saying I don't like drugs, and that I personally think getting high is stupid. Why was I pissed? Because I was downright -OFFENDED- that uppity little Arek thought I was ignorant, when he should know better than that about ME, being a friend of mine as well. I don't repeat ignorance and I don't talk out of my ass about friends. That is my entire point. Whether or not any of you want to believe or care about it, Laura is my friend too, and I don't talk shit about my friends.
