This makes me very happy!
It's been confirmed that the final Harry Potter book (The Deathly Hallows) will be split into two movies filmed concurrently. Having read this particular book at least 3 times, I was hoping this would happen. It is the best book of the series by far, and is truly epic in scale. There is really nothing that could be cut out, and who wouldn't want to see the whole bloody thing on the screen?
David Yates, the director for OotP and HBP will be directing them as well. That's fine with me, mostly because the cast likes him so much and I thought he did a good job on Phoenix.

Maybe this will get me writing the America version of HP during the books' timeline story that's been running around in my head....
