Started working out again. There's a gym across the street where I work. The convenience is great. I love not having to drive to the gym.

I've been excited to do squats. The gym I go to only has a smith machine... after doing some research it doesn't seem that great for squatting. Someone I know suggested I try front squats, and they feel pretty good.

I did a few sets (4?) of 12ish reps a 55lbs with the front squat. I've been using the clean grip as opposed to the cross grip. Front squats are nifty, they are easier on the back and knees, harder on the core and the quads, and better enforce good form, all of which I like.

It's a small gym so I kinda hate taking up space to do the squats away from the smith machine, but oh well.
