Helping Out In Haiti

Jan 17, 2010 09:49

This article on deviantArt has a way for all of you artistically-inclined folk to help out with what's happening in Haiti.

For the link-phobic:
THE LoDi PROJECT, a gallery located in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA, is hosting an international call for artists to help the earthquake disaster relief efforts in Haiti. All funds will be donated directly to Mercy Corps and designated to the immediate relief of the Haitian people. The art should arrive to the gallery by Thursday, February 4, 2010.

The way they're working it is like this: Each artwork will be sold for $25.00 - All works are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. The artists will only sign the back of the work, therefore they remain anonymous to the guests of the exhibition until after sale. The guests to the exhibition have a chance to purchase the works of established international artists for a fraction of their regular cost. This is open to ANY artist, ANY level, ANYWHERE. Please visit the call for artists for additional detail.

In addition, I am offering a custom fanvid on help_haiti as a way of contributing despite low funds.
