I didn't write about my visit to the orthopedist yesterday because we went to work after I got home, and then when we got home from that I was flattened.

Ended up seeing the nurse practitioner for the most part. He looked at my chart, and was amazed to find the detailed write up of my health problems I'd provided (I emailed it to the so they could print it; my printer isn't working). Said the right hand really is Depuytan's Contracture; how it presents can change very quickly. Harmless until it starts putting my fingers down. The left hand middle finger has *two* cysts growing out of the joint and pushing down on my nail. They can be cut open and drained in the office. They may come back. They took x-rays of both hands, and that's when the doctor came in. I have big gaps between my hand joints, bone spurs everywhere (which can be removed when taking the cysts out), and general wonkiness from being a manual laborer for more than 40 years. Then I showed the doctor my party trick of bending my thumb back against my wrist, and his mouth dropped open. "Hyperlaxity!" he says. For some reason, that made him ask if my red hair color was natural- I don't know if that's related to Ehlers Danlos? But it's finally down in some records that my joints are not normal. Anyway, update them if they get worse. I forgot to ask about my knee and the meniscus tear, dammit.
