Finally a day that wasn't just miserable cold; I don't know if it made it up to 32 F during the day but at least it wasn't horrible just breathing outside. For a couple of days it was below 10 F for the highs and around 0 F for the lows. And the wind was blowing, quite hard. Of course a pipe broke in the irrigation well house, because the warning light didn't come on that tells us when it's too cold in there. So it pumped and pumped and pumped so it was gushing out and into the road drainage ditch. It was too cold to work on it, so Tim just turned the electricity to it off and will deal with it when things are better.
Finally got all of Christmas put away, except for the wreaths. The light string in one burnt out, so I am going to mess with that before putting it away. Then I get to make the flamingo wreath, and a spring/summer arrangement and wreath. And I am this many years old when I found out the difference between "wreathe" and "wreath". I, of course, have been using "wreathe" incorrectly. Oops.
Tim went into Walmart and found someone in HR and he has to go to work Monday. Tomorrow is the last day "Amazing Maurice" will be at the theater, but it starts at 11:30, so Tim *should* still be able to get ready for work after we get home. I refuse to miss another movie I want to see because we waited too long. I'm assuming that Ant-Man will be around for a while yet.
I can't believe southern California is getting up to 5' of snow. Where was that shit when I was a kid living down there? We never got snow days; we just got one day off for an earthquake.
