Pixel Town - BaCC - Week 1

I started this BaCC prosperity challenge style, I rolled pretty much anything except their appearance, because I am using pixel_trade sims to populated this hood. Starting with just one lonely hermit... Naaah I am already playing the apocalypse challenge for that particular experience, which by the way I am still playing but I have like 3 updates worth of pictures to organize an comment on. Also for this BaCC I am following several sets of rules, picking the ones that fit more with play style and I find more logical to follow.

The Williams Family

The Williams arrive to Pixel Town having found a beautiful house at a bargain price, Nilda had been offer a job so they figure the rest of the details could be sorted out once the got settle.

Maik voleste, the stay at home dad.

The house was spacious with nice yard were the many kids Maik dreams of having can live and play.

They really could not afford to furnish it, but figure that given enough time the could start adding to the house.

And that having just a few things wasn't a bad thing, their home would adjust to them.

There were just a few unseen obstacles.

The few neighbors they had made them aware of the issues almost immediately, the zone was a development that had failed half way through. That's why the houses where so cheap. The company was cutting the cost by selling everything at bargain a running the hell out.

Not everyone was feeling down about it though, the Dewars where quite positive that they could make Pixel Town thrive.

Or maybe they where too busy been all over each other to care.

The obstacles where vary, a school bus would pick up Dor to the nearest high-school which wasn't really near at all but at least there was a school district.

But not much company around other than the few neighbors, no jobs, nowhere to buy groceries. Those seem like more pressing issues.

Maik resolve to use the fertile soil at the garden to grow their own food while Nilda's job offer was been sort out.

The other urgent matter was the she was pregnant, how exactly did birth control fail her in such a critical stage of their lives, she was unsure. Perhaps with stress off the move, the job and everything she might have forgotten about it.

Living off the land was also harder than Maik had originally envision.

Still, they had a few savings and were making the best of it.

Dor was also giving it a positive spin, to the situation. Developing a friendship with John W. Franck pennyshrill, another one whose family had move to the middle of nowhere town.

They had quite spark.

Although Maik wasn't trilled about it and was afraid that the fact there really wasn't anyone else available make them a little bit to desperate for romance.

Nilda did her best to keep her skills sharp should the job offer ever reappear and keep sending resumes around.

Their new life was filled with surprises.

Lots of surprises.

Dor helped around the house, however she could. There wasn't much to do after all.

Well when she wasn't spending time with John that is.

Nilda wasn't so bother by her daughters teen romance and actually thought that John was decent enough boy.

Besides Maik had the unnerving custom to garden on the nude. Sure they barely had any neighbors but he was taking things a bit to far.

Nilda decided to make clear that nakedness was to be reserve for the bedroom only.

And Maik opted for some comfy piyama bottoms to do the gardening instead.

The Franck Family

John Williamson pennyshrill and his sister Fennel simppl_life ended up moving to town after their mom dissapear without a trace. Being a witch and all it wasn't strange for her to do so. But this time she hadn't come back.

Being teenagers on their own cause to much headache back in the city so Fennel did some creative magic of her own so they could be emancipated after their mom left, grab what little assets they had and move away to a place where they didn't have so much explaining to do. They were just a couple of teens who got screw by the economy and abandoning mom.

Fennel was happy to be free to be herself and do as she please.

And John was happy to have a roof on his head and not end up in some foster home.

But he got bored pretty easily in such an empty town. And sometimes wonder how exactly had his sister manage to get them away.

Of course he didn't have same talent for magic his sister posses. So he decided to let it be and do the best he could to keep himself off trouble.

Fennel had mentione all magic has it's limits so they had to make a living and fend for themselves the old fashion way. Working.

And John discovered that his talent laid with plants.

He also found that even in an empty town you kind find love.

The Dewar Family

The Dewars, Notwithstanding and his wife Copyright Infringement musicboxrose had moved to Pixel Town with their adopted girls Maya and Ami honestly_sims, because they didn't have a choice, all their money had been invested into this failed project and somehow they were the only ones left standing trying to get the whole mess sorted out.

Large open spaces, naturea few steps from the door, a getaway from the pollution and overcrowding of the city. Beautiful homes to grow, a new industry waiting for the right proactive people to open their business and thrive. Welcoming, friendly neighbors to build a tight loving community.

It all sounded great on the brochures. The problem was there wasn't one single business in the entire area, the big spaces were empty because no one bought them, the few neighbors were friendly because they might starve to dead otherwise advises on farming and making it through the months without an actual paycheck were their main topics. The town only had electricity and plumbing because those were the first steps taking into building it before the whole project had been marked unprofitable and abandon.

The other surprise was that Grandpa had joined them. Copyright's father had also place all his savings into the project so when in didn't go through he was left with nothing. (Grandpa is actually as slightly edited version of Copyright's, made male and elder.)

But the Dewars were fighters and had a knack for business they were not going to sit by and wait for someone to give the town a chance to grow.

They were going to take matters into their hands and placed the first shop. A flower/farmers market, fresh flowers, plants and produce on sale. Not everyone had a green thumb and the ones who did weren't any good running business so they bought them their products and deal with marketing part.

While Grandpa became the unpaid nanny/housekeeper.

Is not that they enjoy spending time with their children, but most of the time building a great town for them to live on took precedence.

And of course sometimes accidents happen.

The discussion was over before it started if Copy was pregnant they would care and love that child as if they were actively seeking it. Opps baby or not.

Grandpa love his side of the deal.

Even if sometimes was quite hard and exhausting.

He would of course care for the new baby, but still felt that his daughter had been careless by getting pregnant when they were pretty tight already, both money and space wise. Copy assure him that after the baby was born she would take steps to prevent getting pregnant again.
