Remember,
Remember the way we used to say how tall and grand they were,
Remember the way it used to be when we saw it on the news,
We knew it was ours the american peoples tall, proud, and free,
Free of prejustice,
White people and Black people,
Asians and Indians,
Straight people and Gay people,
Men and Women,
All working under one roof,
There were husbands and wives that worked,
Children and elderly that were watched,
Newly weds and loved ones that were just another one of the work force,
They didnt know what was coming,
They didnt think it would,
Why would the world want to hurt us they thought,
why would they care if the next bill would be payed, another meal be made, or their lives be taken.
