Tracey ‘s Gotta Gun

May 17, 2004 17:00

It was Tracey’s birthday on the sixth, so I got her a Glock 17 (9mm) to play with. That’ll teach her !
This ought to make me behave myself a little, but I’m not sure if it will...

Tracey on the morning of her birthday. Glock-handed.

Neither of us works on our birthdays, the only time we celebrate any calendar event (we ignore xmas etc), so they tend to be a big deal. This year we took the Thursday and Friday off and went to the desert for an extended weekend.

I’ve posted a couple of pictures, but nothing special. We’ve taken really good pictures in the past (it’s hard not too with the landscapes of the southern California deserts) but this time for some reason we didn’t get any suitably impressive ones. It would have been nice to share some of this stuff but at least we were there.
Anyway, this is what we were up too just in case somebody noticed I wasn’t actually online last week.

There’s this funky little Italian restaurant in Indio (a couple of hours from here and on the edge of the desert areas we like to explore), that cooks with a LOT of garlic, so obviously it’s a favorite of mine, nothing fancy, just really good home-cooked type of food. Made all the better by their serving generous measures of wine which ensures that one is at least half drunk during the proceeding.
This time we got to chief to give us the recipe for my favorite dish, and over the weekend I threw that together with some success. Good fun.

Been spending the last couple of days working on sounds for the next album. You have been warned.
