Sorry for spamming you!
But, here are two new original drabbles .... ^_^"
Letters
"Sophie! There's a postcard and a letter for you."
I run downstairs, making everyone believe I am expecting mail. And I am. Sort of...
"Who is it from?"
My sisters voice echoes from the living room. Curious little thing.
"No idea. There's no address of the sender on the envelope."
I can imagine the pout on her face while I run back upstairs. I know my parents won't ask after it. They figure I'll tell them myself if I really want to share it.
My fingers tremble when I open the envelope. It's strange to receive hand-written letters these days. Most youngsters use MSN, or mail, or Facebook. But real letters...?
And that is what makes them so special to me. That is why I love receiving them. Why I love sending them. Because no one else does, because it's fun ...
There's a silly grin on my face when I start reading the letter. It talks about everything and nothing. About school, and family. About love and friends. About sport and a television show.
When I finish the letter, I immediately grab pen and paper. An immediate reply...
-
"So, who is it that sends you so many letters? Every other week there is a new letter for you in the mailbox. And yet you never tell us anything about it."
The smile on my face is such a big and happy one that I am surprised no one can see me shine.
"Are they love letters?"
Her voice sound victorious, and her grin widens when I turn to look at her.
"Yes. And no."
A questioning look. Surprised.
Laughing softly I leave the table and walk back upstairs, preparing myself for training, casting a quick glance at he box with letters. It's amazing how many letters one can collect in 2 months time.
-
"Honest, my sister so wants to know who these letters come from. I fear she's going to camp next to the mailbox next week. And if I'm not careful, and she finds it first, I'm sure she's going to read the next letter instead of giving it to me..."
His clear laugh echoes through the gym, luckily training is finished already.
There is a mischievous twinkle in his eyes when we take our bikes to cycle home. And I think I already know what he is up to...
-
"Sophie?"
A soft knock on my door. She doesn't even wait for an answer.
"There is a letter for you."
Turning around I notice a faint blush on her cheeks. And I smile knowingly when she gives me the letter.
"Sorry I opened it..."
I didn't even have to speak for her to apologize.
"No worries."
I have to try my hardest not to burst out laughing at the face she is making. And I can't wait to read what he has written in that letter.
"So, you do love him..." she turns when she reaches the door, holding the doorknob in one hand.
"You happy?"
I smile.
It's all the answer she needs.

Rainbow
Beep.
How are you? How is France? Hope the weather is better that it is over here, and hope you are having lots of fun! Kiss! X
I smile when I type my reply.
It's raining over here, for the moment. But yes, we're having fun! ^^ Beautiful country and a magnificent swimming pool! ^^ Kissie! X
It takes him 2 minutes to reply again.
Here it's raining as well, though the sun is slowly coming through the clouds. I'm sure there will be a rainbow in a couple of minutes. :-)
Looking outside I see the same scenery. And I chuckle softly when I reply again.
Sun coming through here as well. And the rainbow is already here. Miss you! X
The answer arrives a minute later.
Found the rainbow! Do you see me wave? :-) Kiss! xxx
