Jackal's night of stupidity or the date that wasn't ^_^;;;
Let me tell you about last night...
well it all started sometime at work, I met up with my friend Barbara. I was very surprised to see her(since I thought she had gone off to some sort of college work camp of something). So we chatted away, but she kinda seemed like she wanted to do somrthing later in day. UNfortunatly I worked till 10. So she said that it was shame and she left... but she said "I'll call you" as she went out. I was shocked ... like no girl had ever said those words to me before (yes I am such a loser... o_O). Well my manager overheard everything, and he was willing to let me go early,because as he claims "it was about time I got a date..." O_O;;
Well now I had a chance.. but I thought to myself..what about Jeshika? I mean Barbara is a great girl and I have known her ever since I moved to the US and I've always had this minor crush on her. But I undoubtly liked Jeshika more but since our relationship wasn't going well (since their wasn't one ^_^;;; lol) I thought that a date with Barbara would be just what I needed.
Ok so I had my oppertunity... So now I had to call her to tell her I had free time for tonight. So I call and everything is set. I would meet her at her place at 9. alright everything was going smooth...ok it was 8:20 my manager comes up to me and tells that he can't let me go until I clean the whole store.... (which takes about 50-2 hours to do) So for the first time in my life I cleaned fast....like the wind O_O;; ok I was out of of the store at 8:56... Barbara lived about 5 mins away... but I needed to fix myself up and time wasn't on myside. I rushed home and changed into nice clothes, shaved, brushed my teeth and wash my face... in about 10 mins (new personal best!) so then I drive to Barbara's place.
While going there I felt I overdressed...but then again I'm always dressing like a bum (people who know me can testify to this!) So I get to her place at 9:12 ( I was late...shit....) but it made no difference I came in said hello to her folks (which were nice people ^_^ ) then she asked me if I wanted to eat dinner? ( I was under the impression that I was taking her somewhere to eat ^_^;;). But I took her generous offer. So then my little dream came crashing down when she said her boyfriend was also comming over o.o;; (boyfriend!? O.O)
I have down stupid things in the past... but I had never felt so stupid in my life lol. I mistook her simple invitation to have dinner with a friend for a date. I felt like walking back to my car and slamming my face into the dashboard. heheh. Well so Kevin arrives (funny thing is that I've known Kevin for about 2 years now and he's a good friend). but that didn't change anything. as the night past we had a good time a nice dinner between friends. So around 11 o clock I head home.Feeling both stupid yet finding the whole situation hilarious.
their is a moral in this somewhere... I wish I knew what it was o_O!!! so thats my "date that wasn't" ^_^''
