Anime Boston 09 Day Two
Here is day 2, again comments aren't necessary, more for me and anyone just interested in reading :)
Anime Boston 09’ Day two
Ok so I wrote entry day one of AB in the morning of day 2, so I woke up, wrote that, got up, took a shower, got ready, ate breakfast and all that good stuff. I likely started getting ready around 10 or 11 as I got little sleep. You know, since the front desk was supposed to bring us a roll away bed but didn’t and so I only had a pillow and the edge of a blanket from the bed… but anyways, so I didn’t actually leave the room until 1pm. I was being lazy… plus I was checking my sheet for things to do and didn’t really find anything till later in the day that sounded interesting. Oh, I also had been trying to put some of my videos on my laptop to make room on my memory card but it kept dying ‘cuz my battery was low and then I couldn’t find my batteries! Haha! So eventually I used some of my rechargeable batteries that I luckily had with me D: I freed up a little space then was off to the con!
I didn’t end up doing what I planned though, I had wanted to go to either the Anime Dating Game or this panel about publishing manga but I ended up wandering around just looking for the rooms XD I stopped into the artist alley looking for my friend again but no luck so as I left and checked my schedule for what I was going to do from there, a boy stopped me and asked for my picture ^^; I should have been thrilled that I got someone else who recognized me buuut I was feeling grumpy again, about not being able to find her and for rude people who kept stepping on my feet and bumping into me without apologizing… well a couple did, but only a couple! So I was in a rather bad mood when he asked so I merely nodded at him several times, I don’t think I saw one word to him! I felt very out of character and rude X_X oh well… at least I tried looking cheery in the pic ^^;;;
Finally, I decided to get some lunch… I might be forgetting something in between here since I didn’t actually go to an event but I dunno if I spent an hour walking around… I might have stopped into the Dealer’s room too… yah that is possible ‘cuz I remember being in there lol Don’t think I bought anything though but I was looking for things, and possible cosplayers… on my way back to the room I think I spotted an 02 Joe but wasn’t sure as I was in very close proximity to them and they didn’t come over to me -shrug- so when I decided to return to the room around 3ish I was dismayed when no one answered because I didn’t have a key and my cell phone hadn’t been working sooo I had to go BACK downstairs looking for a payphone and called Jessie to leave her a message. She was the only one who I had a number for and definitely had a key but she didn’t answer, so I left a message and walked back to the room… oh! Before that happened, on my first trip up to the room a guy ran up to me and asked if I was Mimi… I was still a little out of it so I replied Hi instead of Yes but my brain might have been even more jumbled and I was answering in Japanese, as hai means yes xD so he sorta stared at me and walked away! I was like O_o; alrightie then
Anywho, so I went back up to the room and waited roughly 20-30 minutes for Jessie, she returned and told me there was a digimon photoshoot at 4 ( she actually had told me earlier but yeah here I am writing it in now) so I had a quick lunch and we both headed down to it where I met 01 Matt, two Davis/Daisukes, Sora, Hikari/Kari, Ken, Takeru/TK and a Takuya from 04. Finally when we were all together were we noticed lol I took a couple pics and then other people did as well as the group who met up took pics. At one point when we were all together posing, there were at least 6-7 different people taking our picture at the same time so I had no idea where to look @_@ that was probably the highlight of my being noticed since we were all together like that XD then after a little while we were going to go off to do other things, I had really wanted to stop in at the panel Sailor Moon Forever! But Kari and Sora (haha) wanted to go to the masquerade where the friend I’d been looking for was putting on a skit so I agreed to go with them :3 Unfortunately, we got very confused as where the line was since it was SO long! And eventually were split up D: I waited in line for nearly an hour with Takuya and one of the Davis’ but was getting hungry so departed and left for the room. On my way back I noticed them parading the Masquerade line up to the 3rd floor O.o the event was on the 2nd… apparently it was too full to let anyone else in… why not just tell people it’s full and let them do something else?! Oi.
So I returned to the hotel and luckily Yoko was in the room so I chatted with her for a bit then changed into my Alice costume :3 after hanging out for a bit we went back to the artist’s alley where I bought quite a few drawings XD there were many a talented artists there this year @.@ normally there are but almost everywhere I looked I saw something awesome O_O I need to go back to the Sonic dude… which reminds me I saw an Eggman with Julie and Jessie haha but I didn’t recognize it was him until afterwards XD anyways, so back at artists alley, the group liked me new outfit and I even got a picture taken >X3 sweet! After a while we headed back to the room and decided to call it a day. So, I don’t think I went to any event D: I tried to lol but was shot down! I really wanted to go to one of the 18+ or 21+ events but by that point everyone was like blahhh and I kinda was too only cuz all the shoes I tried wearing were killing my feet D:< -grumpy- anywho so we got back anywhere from 8-9 or whenever and hung out and drew some pictures and showed off artwork then we ordered pizza! It was super delicious.
I ate like 3 pieces of the chicken pizza XD then Jessie wanted to watch Pokemon the first movie lawl the woman who plays Ash was here this weekend so there were a lot of pokemon cosplayers and shiz oh! I nearly forgot when we were returning to the hotel, this kid was high fiving anyone who walked up the stairs so I gave him a highfive as well and he was like oh wait, are you Alice? And I was like yeah… and he was like oh I have to give you a hug! Lol so I gave him a hug :3 I also nearly forgot, back in the artist alley (I am backtracking) I actually found a short Ed and there are usually many an Ed here so I was like Edo! Can you take a picture with me and look grumpy?! Because I was taller than him XD and he was like but I don’t want to look grumpy, you’re so cute! >O< *flails- I just wanted to add that compliment in there ^O^ ehe and he actually had automail (well it looked close enough) so yah
Anyways I was probably the only one who watched the entire Pokemon movie since everyone else was lying in bed and fell asleep lol then after it ended I shut it off, got ready for bed and went to bed… so hre I sit typing this and need to get ready so I will write about day 3 later on when I return home ☺ ja!
