Lana hadn't quite been able to make herself leave the room yet. But at least she'd reached out and returned Meg's call. She was worried that she wouldn't be able to be any sort of company at all for the younger woman, but she'd agreed to let her come by.
In the meantime, she sat by the window, petting a purring Neffie, and wondering if she'd be brave enough to return to the cottage tomorrow.
