Herul stands impassively as Salna and her succubae approach, the halfbreed in tow. Ericai stands next to him, disfigured and in pain. The punishment is quite simple: he brought the halfbreed here. Let him deal with her. Let him do exactly what he wanted to do with her in the first place.
"Elder, please don't make me do this," Ericai pleads. "I didn't know she was a halfbreed. I couldn't have known." He's tried over and over to get out of it, but the time had come and he is no closer to avoiding this punishment than he was when he'd started.
Herul snorts. "If you'd stopped to think, you would have picked up on it easily enough."
When Salna arrives next to him, he tells her, "We were unable to determine the one who spawned the halfbreed, unfortunately. However, we shall keep questioning these incubi until the culprit is found."
Salna nods approvingly. "Very good, very good indeed. Why have you brought us here, then?"
Dessa looks around at the crowd of demons. She hadn't realized there were so many of them. Her energy is still pulsing and glowing around her, but it's getting to be a strain to maintain it. It's impossible to remain at such an intense level of fear for more than an hour two at the most, and she's been in their realm for a good twenty-four hours by this point. She's exhausted, terrified, and her arm hurts like all kinds of hell. The energy, combined with their derision of her, has kept any of them from messing with her, at least.
I'm a halfbreed. I'm half-incubus. I'm half-demon. They were right. I'm a monster. My god.... Her stomach turns queasily. Shaking her head, she waits silently to find out what they want. As long as they'll send her home, she'll go along with just about anything.
Herul speaks to the gathered incubi and succubae. "My brothers and sisters! One among you has brought an enemy, a threat, into our midst. And one among you has profaned our name and created this threat in the first place." He shoves Dessa forward. "This... thing... this seemingly human girl... is a halfbreed."
Immediately there are hisses of revulsion from all around as the gathered demons draw away from her as though she is toxic. Dessa winces and looks around, obviously scared, and her energy pulses violently.
Herul does the same thing with Ericai, who purposefully stumbles to the side, away from her.
