Yay!

I drove my family home tonight from a friend's ^_____^

If it seems odd that I'm delighted over a task such as this, then consider the following:
- it was an hour-long drive
- at least half an hour of the drive was on a highway with maximum speed of 100km/h (that's about 62 miles/h) and people usually drive up to 130 km/h (80 miles/h) whenever possible *shudder*
- a good 20+ minutes was on a stretch of highway with a minimum of 12 lanes
- though it is Victoria Day tomorrow and cottage season have not yet officially started, traffic back into the city on a Sunday evening is not much lighter than usual (meaning it was actually busy enough that the amount of cars on the highway lowered its speed to 90-110km/h, tops, in certain sections)
- the drivers in my city are known for their infamous driving skills
- thus the slower speed made it safer, but the large number of drivers on the road also increased the risk
- however, due to the traffic safety blitz people were GENERALLY better drivers than usual
- moreover, I was not used to driving the Dodge Caravan; I'm used to driving cars the size of Toyota and it caused some problems...

Anyway, we're all safely home. That's all I wanted.

=)
