tonight was gonna be great. and it was. I went home, ate food, enjoyed some killer weather, went to church. ended up being surprised, and ended up playing for the youth group.
what i didn't really know was that jace's uncle was slipping away, from M.S. it was intense after church, we ended up grabbing the acoustic, and some praise music, and headed in his car, to beat the other people to see his uncle, before he passed.
on the way there, it was pretty crazy...jace said he'd never sang to his uncle, and always wanted to, i almost ended up in tears.
we got there, and an answer of prayer came, when his uncle was still holding on. we played Amazing Grace, before the youth choir came. we sang ' Oh Great thou Art'.
it was probably of the coolest things i had done, an honor, to play with jace and his family for tom, mr. s..
his wife, pastor linda, the children's pastor, she was so amazing. she talked about how tom was always a an athlete, and how he was probably sprinting down the paths in heaven. how, once we got there in God's time, we'd see the true Tom S., not a man hurt by M.S.
the most incredible thing she said, in tears was, how when he was diagnosed by M.S., he kneeled on the couch, and said "Lord, if this is to be your Will, may you use me and this, to bring other to You Lord". that was amazing. and they were all so strong. greiving, yet in peace and hope, knowing tom was with Him again. that tom always kept Jesus first, and how He served Tom, and vice-versa. it was one of the most moving things i've ever attended, and i even participated. it was unreal, almost.
i'm so very grateful and hopeful. it was truly something beautiful. words can;t desccribe it dude, but "how great Thou Art", and "Amazing Grace" did a fine job of it.
on another note, friday is a special event for a certain someone who hopefully, shall read this. and for this person, i will have something. and Hopefully, this person Won't read it until i tell this person to. this person had betta' take heed! haha. its exciting planning it, i can;t wait to deliver it...
