An open letter to the friendslist of me:

Jun 11, 2007 19:03

So since late September last year, I've been posting on the forums at Explosm and it's quite a nice little community, I've gotten comfortable there and made some really good friends all across the world.

At the beginning of the weekend, one of the subforum regulars was killed in a road accident and I'm weirdly affected by it. It just goes to show that you don't need to have seen someone with your very eyes and talked to them in 'real life' to be touched by them.

The whole community is coming together over his death and it's just so sad to see how many people appreciated him with, quite possibly, him not having a clue.

You never think these things will happen to people you know, but they do and it hits you hard no matter how you know them.

I guess what I'm trying to say, LJ-internet 'not real' people, I love you guys. I might not show it (since I'm never here, ha) but you're all on my friendslist because you've affected me in some way, clearly when I friended you I saw something in you that I liked and wanted to be connected with.

I can also think of a number of you who have been around since I started (at FictionAlley all those years ago) and have stuck by me, and even shaped the person I've grown up to be.

God forbid, if anything should ever happen to me or you, just know how much I appreciate you all and am here to chat whenever you like.

Love from Amy.

love you guys, amy is appreciative
