Translationisatorism
Back on tracks. That's the expression I'm meant to use here. After coming back from China, I had to start attending classes again. How weird to have classes in french and English now, I really lost that habit, it feels weird.
And just when I was starting to get used to school again, I got an email from one of my friend, Dinah (the girl who at some point made me think about being bisexual if some of you remember?)
By the end of the year she'll have her master degree in translation. She currently works as a translator (for her stage) for a Video Game related translation company. She talked about me to her superior, who said that if I was interested in a student job during summer, I could send her my CV and an application letter
What the hell? They're asking ME if I want to TRANSLATE VIDEO GAMES during summer as a student job? Am I not daydreaming? I re-read the e-mail again. No, it's very serious.
That doesn't mean I have the job, but that means I have a great opportunity there. I must seize it. That'd be the dream job for me. Always wanted to work in a video-games related domain, but finally decided that translation was more something I wouldn't mind doing for days on end. And there they're asking me if I want to do both?
I know I'd get up every day with a big smile on my face thinking about the day to come. Of course, things like the perfect job just don't exist, I'm well aware of that, but damn that's closer to it than any other job I can think about
Now I need to write my CV and application letter. They have to be in English. Can someone lend me a hand on that? English is not my mothertongue and I want to make sure this is all as good as it can be {:3}
