dreary day
It's foggy outside. The cold dampness has seeped through the tiny cracks in the house and settled in for the duration. I caught a chill while driving this morning, making me anxious for my new car-with-heater-and-seat-warmers. I hope the money comes through soon.
I noticed something today - the school busses here have fog flashers on their roofs to make people more aware of them while they're driving. Either I'd never noticed them before or it's a new thing this year.
Freecycle seems to have blacklisted me since I pulled my group from their network. The owner of two of my FC groups has been asked to remove me - which I find hilariously funny as I started both of the groups. After having been a GOA for FC and seeing the inner workings of Freecycle I wouldn't trust them as far as I could spit. :)
I have so much to do today and little time in which to do it. Our group has a Secret Santa program going on and I'm supposed to pick up a lot of things to gift to various families, but some of it is going to have to wait until tomorrow!
Oh, I now have a lovely new lawn, thanks to Maranatha Landscaping and a team of 8 or so friendly Mexicanos. They came in two days ago and are now (almost) completely finished with my yards. It's beautiful - you all should come see it!
The inside of the house is coming along as well - lots gotten rid of or given away and lots more to go. I think in all I've given away a whole houseful of furniture and other goods. When I move I don't intend on taking much more than what we'll be able to use.
Enough for now - after so long with no updates I don't want to overwhelm anyone with my talkativeness! :)
