So helping out at the County Show wasn't so bad. I still maintain that I'm terrible at interacting with young children and my feet were killing me by the end of the day, but I got into the swing of talking to people a lot better than at the Health & Safety Day which shows a marked improvement I guess.
Other than that, work continues to be solid. Jane's back from holiday so I'm being pulled away to take minutes at meetings left, right and center again, but I don't mind because she's seriously overworked being co-manager on this project and so any small effort I can make is really helpful for her.
There's still talk of possibly keeping me on after September, at the end of the day it all comes down to whether or not the department can get the funding they'd need. I sort of hope they will keep me on, partly because it'll bolster my CV even further if I can put down that I worked a full year at a single establishment and partly because I just don't want to go back to job hunting, job hunting sucks!
No real progress on the fic front because my stupid muse has adopted a new plot bunny from the prompt meme that it is simply cooing over and that stops me from putting any effort towards finishing up my ongoing fic. *sigh* Recorded some podfic instead, so hopefully I can finish up the series I'm recording soon and post that to the comm so people know I'm not letting it die, just that it's taking me a while; and after I prove that I'm serious about recording other people's fic and this wasn't just a big ol' vanity project on my behalf, hopefully other authors will come forward.
Gonna make a real effort to be disciplined and finish up this mofo of a fic before Glee starts airing again in about a week and a half's time, but all you gotta do is look back through my most recent entries to know you shouldn't exactly be holding your breath *head desk*
Goodnight folks, *hugs*
