So. Didn't sleep two nights ago so I started yesterday on a buzz of insomnia and offered to go to Tesco for Mum to get stuff that we need while she's at work; since I don't have a job yet and I'm done with school I figure the least I can do until I can start paying into the household is do my best to make things a little easier.

Anyway; Sam woke up and immediately spotted the list and the money and tried ditching it onto me without even checking first whether I intended to go. This annoyed me, so I asked if he was gonna come with and help out. He said no because he'd arranged to meet his friends at 11. It was 9, there is no way going to the Tesco five minutes round the corner and getting the essentials would take two hours.

Nonetheless I went without him. Got everything and the woman at the checkout counter knew my Mum so we had a converstion while I packed everything up and paid. Asked at the customer services for an application form but got told there weren't any so I should print one out from online.

I'd left my mobile at home so I couldn't phone a taxi. Pushed the trolley home with me and packed everything away; then took the trolley back. I live on a council estate so I stumbled across a couple of other trolleys that the local kids had stolen to push each other round in; and since I'm such a bloody Lawful Good stereotype I collected them and dragged them back too.

Halfway there the lock device that's supposed to stop them trolleys being stolen kicked in on one of them - bloody useful timing - so I had to abandon my attempt to take it back.

Stuck the Tesco application form on my memory stick and walked to the library to print it. Also printed out some copies of my CV. Got halfway home when I noticed the CVs had a really blatant spelling error in the personal profile that I hadn't noticed, so I binned them since they're basically useless. Started filling in the Tesco application form, but the questionnaire section made me realise I'm really not suited to the work and I only want to since the shop is local which makes it convenient. Binned the application form.

So, y'know. That was a waste of time.

Started playing Diablo with Matthew again. We completed up to Quest 5 of the first Act and then he had to leave.

Had a text conversation with Hanna and she told me the NHS is looking for healthcare assistants so I looked up online and decided to apply for a couple of local positions. I hope I get one; not just because it'll feel like Sixth Form wasn't a waste of time if I get one (Because honestly, if I wanted to work in Wilkinson's I could've applied straight out of GCSEs) but also because it'll feel like a job with some future potential. As you work you get training in NVQ, if you get to level 3 you have enough qualifications to apply to a nursing course at Uni. I mean, with my Bio and Psych grades I'd stand a chance to get into a nursing course; but with an NVQ too I'd stand a much better chance.

Of course, it'd take a few years to earn that qualification anyway which would give me time to see if healthcare really is for me before I went off to Uni. It's only that feeling of uncertainty that's been holding me back from applying to go to Uni this year.

So, y'know. Hope. Problem is, most of the deadlines for applying to these jobs come before I get my results; so on my application I'll have to put down that I've done the exams but my results won't come til the 19th. Might be a bit of a setback, but as Mum said; there's no reason for me not to try.

Played Diablo some more when Matthew got back. Played way into the early hours of the morning and managed to get to Lut Gholein and complete the first quest. Also, agreed to go see Eclipse with Matthew and his friends Ash and Julie on Monday. I've promised to try and keep my comments to a minimum during the movie. At least it's a chance to spend time with him ^^

EDIT: Finally signed up to compaubigbang as both a writer and a beta. The first draft of my fic isn't due til the end of October, so for now my epic Winn fic is still a higher priority. I have the idea for my compaubigbang  fic in my head, it's gonna need some polishing but I think it'll be a lot of fun; if somewhat lengthy (I feel like I might smash the 20,000 word minimum to pieces).

Also, Hanna's moving in was supposed to be today but I didn't receive word. Ashley phoned to ask about it and said he'd sent Hanna a message on Facebook, but still nothing.

I know you read my journal Hanna, so y'know; a word would be useful. What's going on?
