Mr. Sabin was talking about St. Patrick's Day in assembly. He did the assembly last year too, so I was a little disappointed to see him get up and spout the exact same crap now that we have a couple of other Irish teachers it might've been nice to see a fresh perspective. Either way I'm not a big fan of St. Paddy's. I just don't see why in our pro-multicultural society we continue to celebrate the fact that a guy hundreds of years ago went in and converted an entire country, effectively wiping out the Pagan way of life. So because Pagans are a minority nowadays and Christianity is one of the biggest religions in the world it's okay to celebrate a triumph in the favour of the latter? At least with Thanksgiving there's the corny TV specials with the corn and the turkey and the thankfulness, admittedly not historically accurate but the holiday has a moral value. St. Paddy's is a day for getting drunk. How is that honouring anyone? I admit my view is remarkably skewed and I try not to burden anyone with it, but it still annoys me a little bit.

Had a free first, but Ash wasn't in yet so I read Lolita. I'm about two-thirds of the way through now; Ashley'll be glad when I'm finished, he keeps whinging that I read too slow and he's waiting to read it.

Psychology with Mr. Murray second. He had us each focus on one type of test - I got given independent t test - and we each had to write up a summary on a word document, then once we'd all done that he printed it and gave us each a copy. This took all lesson. Not even kidding. Spent the time I wasn't typing talking to Matt and reading through an X-Box magazine he'd bought in. There was a review for FFXIII in there, strongly biased in favor of the Playstation 3 version of the game, which annoyed me.

Met Ashley at break and told him I had FFXIII, so during third we went to Tesco then back to mine to watch me epic fail at a boss battle a couple of times before we realised we were gonna be late to English Lit. Legged it back to school, but running in New Rocks is hard so I made it about 200 yards before I had to stop. Still made it in time for the lesson. Handed in my essay, but neither Ashley nor I had the copy of the play so we had to borrow Hannah's version between us. It's kinda cool so far, 'Mrs. Warren's Profession', we're just analysing Vivie and Praed for now, focusing on how they differ from standard Victorian roles of men and women. Ms. Williams said there's a performance on in London at the moment, so depending on whether the school can get reduced tickets or not we might be going to see it.

Went to the garage with Ashley at lunch, then headed home since I had a free last. Played FFXIII some more, totally whooped the boss that'd been giving me trouble before, carried on til after dinner. My copy of 'Mrs. Warren's Profession' from Amazon showed up, so I'll have it for future lessons.

I've got my Biology ISA tomorrow. It's just the experiment: the effects of light intensity on the rate of photosynthesis. *headdesk of boredom* Still, easy enough. Then Wednesday we have to number crunch and answer some related questions. No biggie, but it counts towards our final grade so I have to put actual effort in.

Haven't written or drawn anything for a few days so I'm gonna try and write tomorrow.
