So today was kinda epically sucktacular.

Ashley was inexplicably absent, not that that's anything new, so I couldn't ask him whether the sleepover this weekend is Friday or Saturday. He wants Saturday because it means it'll be longer, but Yasmin can only come if it's Friday; problem is Ashley isn't as close to Yas as Hanna and I are and part of me feels he won't be too worried about that.

Anyway; got to school a tad late so I ambled to form long enough for Ms. Terry to mark me in and send me off to assembly which Mr. Rush spent talking about his 200 mile cycle ride he did in the summer to raise money for cancer research.

Spent first period with Hanna, she's feeling pretty lousy too and we both seem to be in a creative slump. Curse of being an artist I suppose but it's bad as neither of us can really buoy the other up as we're in the same boat: suddenly coming to the realization that we're effectively wasting time in academic education when we really just want to practice our craft. *sigh*

Psychology was near enough a waste of time; we just had to copy notes out of the book but Mr. Murray's lessons are kinda notorious for that. As someone said last year, the textbook teaches the lesson, not him. Had a sorta laugh with Matt but he dropped a bombshell that Ms. Bennet is planning to give us all personality tests at the end of the half term as a kinda fun way to tell if any of us have mood disorders.

Yeah fun for the sane students, I don't fancy being told I'm mad by someone who barely knows me but I'm also not going to buckle and opt out of it. If she wants to diagnose me with every mental disorder in the book so be it.

Went to see Hanna again at break, she was feeling low so I shared a viennese whirl to cheer her up (Only 147 calories so she was allowed) I think it helped a bit.

Skived Biology. I just couldn't face Photosynthesis in that funk. Spent the lesson haunting the common room, listening to my iPod and taking note of fic ideas in my notepad.

Went to English Lit. Sabrina found me on the way and asked why I wasn't in Bio, I answered honestly that I just didn't feel like it and she kinda scolded me, which ticked me off a tad. The lesson went fine, lots of notes and a real chance to analyse text so it was a lot of fun.

Stuck around for lunch, but Hanna had gone home so it was a near perfect mirror of break: me lingering in the common room with my music. Beth found me near the end and asked why I wasn't in Biology, I didn't mind so much though since she's expressed concerns about it before and I've known her for years now so it wasn't so impersonal.

Went home straight after afternoon registration. Wasted some time on my computer before deciding to write my essay that's due in tomorrow. Didn't even start before I decided to go to Tesco to get soda. Picked up the new Darren Shan book while I was there.

Started the essay and fought through half a page, then saved it and stopped. Read a few chapters of the book before stopping to finish the essay. It's terrible and not up to the standard of my first but I just can't write today.

Read the rest of the Darren Shan book. It was passable but not great and I've lost a lot of the affection I felt for the characters early on in the series.

Wanted to watch the second episode of Flash Forward but the family are watching Hell's Kitchen. I could be watching it upstairs if not for the fact that neither of the TVs has been retuned, thus by the time it was done I'd missed ten minutes. Now I've gotta wait til they're done watching Hell's Kitchen so I can watch it off the recording downstairs.

Didn't even start either of my Giles/Xander fics, I'm getting pissed off with myself because of that. Gonna try damn hard tomorrow to make a start on it.
