Work it harder, make it better, do it faster, makes us stronger

There's just something about physical labor that always makes me feel better. Just getting down and gritty and sweaty to accomplish something, no matter how small, just the fact that I was working with my hands and using muscles I don't use nearly as often as I should is satisfying. Case in point, I helped Good Jer move into his new digs this morning and it couldn't have been a better day for it. Jer is always over organized, so we were able to bang out most of his move in just a couple of hours, at least, all the big stuff that required the use my mom's monstrosity of a vehicle to move with. Afterward, upon returning said monstrosity, I hand washed my car since I had some extra time. I must say that, while I don't want to become "that guy" who's fawning all over their car all the time, it just feels good to have all the dirt and grime cleared away now... I mean seriously, it was hard to look through the back window, the layer of dirt was so thick.

Also, apparently I must eat at Choppers if moving (myself or helping someone else), it's now a rule.

On another note, I've been convinced to go to Lollapalooza this year... I'll be hangin' with Good Jer building my Indie Cred™, but mostly I'm going because Daft Punk is headlining one of the nights and they're the cat's pajamas.
